Speed controlled volume

ohh yeah the powermate issues......how often i had to replug that thing!!! its fine when hibernating but yeah reboot etc can really scew it up....

i need to look into this issue ...there must be a script that can reinitalize the usb driver....

EDIT: UHH Idea..... have RRFUSION cut the usb ground onresume/hibernate for a second.... that should work....kinda a waste of a port but hey pretty sure that would work...

Is a really bad and sloppy way to fix something that you would probably be better off looking into other idea's for volume control. I think i might have tried one/both of those with still <100% stable. Even on a cold boot, would take up to 4 replugin's to finally get win to recongize it.... not worth my time/efforts/fustration for something that "should" work. Its what happens when you plugin an Apple device into a non Apple PC....

Woohoo it works!

Just need to play around with the settings to get it just right. I'm using 'user volume and automatic gain change' and it seems to work pretty well.

The only odd thing that I noticed is that the VOL+ and VOL- buttons don't work now until I increase the volume with the slider, which does work, and then I can reduce and increase the volume but only up to where I had set the volume with the slider. Strange, but maybe someone can explain to me why it does that?

hmm yeah i see your frustration!... however its not that bad for me .....hard off makes it not recognized and simple unplug plug make it work fine......

i just havent found a nice alternative yet.....

Yes, the Vol+/- cmds were not included in the user gain watching, to adj vol using that setting as current, one has to use the slider (what where they thinking when coding it??)

gps speed is nice, but i think once i install my microphone ill find a way to adjust the volume based off actual ambient noise... only problem i see is someone talking on the phone and the radio cranks hahaha

This has long been discussed when/while this feature was in its starting stages... I think way too many factors to factor in...

I use this feature by inh. It gives 6 choices as to how the gps affects volume based on loud, medium, soft, and if your windows are up or down. I found the settings pretty close straight out of the box. DFX skins already designed, if that is what you use.

Oh no! I've installed Navmii (satnav app) and now GPS speed won't work when that is running. Everything looks right with the green lights in xport so I'm stumped. It's a shame as I won't get the speed camera warnings when Navmii isn't running.

Anyone have any ideas?
