Shouldn't those ACTIVESOURCEID and ACTIVESOURCE update as soon as loadlist is called. It used to...
Or is this because of this change:
"LOADLIST" - Loads radio prests from file; "LOADLIST;presets.ini"
RR doesn't know if Loadlist = Audio or Radio now.
Why can't RR check to see if MUSICPATH is with LOADLIST
to update ACTIVESOURCEID and ACTIVESOURCE immediately?
????

Activesource should be set... doesn't seem to be happening for some reason.. do you have music resume set at all ? let us know.

THat's what I meant. I must have missed the option on my last install then, I thought the option was removed due to unicode issues.

i removed the options to download winamp, i didnt want the installer to favor any player
also, rr, works fine with the latest winamps

i use WMP for basic playing, it doesn to the tags, tags are done by RR, so RR is doing all the unicode...
i cant say if all the unicode issues are gone, all the tests I did, say it works
but its so hard to tell for us non unicode users

jebus, yep, if u dont have it set to resumemusic, then inital launch of RR is NO active source.

jebus, when u load a list, at the menu, how would RR know what that list is for

it knows by activesource...

technically, u found a bug while back, and have been exploiting it
loadlist should load the list for music ONLY when activesouce is music

im in the mental debate how to handle loadlist

basicly 2 options, unless activesource is music, do nothing
or switch activesource to music when loadlist happens (and not in radio)
when radio is active, it knows loadlist is for radio lists
its the ELSE thats an issue

With resume music modes set to Never...
What would be the drawback in checking for MUSICPATH, VIDEOPATH, presets.ini, ect... when using LOADLIST;xxxx at initial startup.
With RRVoiceControl the above MUSICPATH scenario could happen.
ie: With resume music modes set to Never...
You get into vehicle in the morning, boot up PC, and immediately issue a Voice Command for your favorite album without going to an AUDIO screen. No label tagxxx's update.
I'm curious as to why it does update, if I switch to another screen, say gas prices, and then switch back to menu screen.
Another thought, How about an optional, numeric (0 thru 8) switch for loadlist, that sets ACTIVESOURCEID?

Jebus because RR is written from day 1 as a "SCREEN" (skin) based application
NOT SOURCE
i dont 100% argee with that thinking, but thats how it was written
so when u change screens, thats when RR calculates what should be the active source
its a bit of skin names and logical GUESSing
(and ur loadlist doesnt change screens)

its a simple fix, i just need to deceide how to do it
the problem is there is HOLES... and lots of them

It works perfect outside RR..even at full screen. I tested also VLC with same issues.

Could be a CPU load thing -- which skin are you using ? have you monitored the CPU activity to see how much the Video is taking outside RR to compare with the CPU inside RR?
