my guess is winamp.. a winamp resume plugin?
how about switching to WMP
prob not alot of people using a winamp that old
but it does sound like winamp is playing on its own...
also when posting an issue, OS info and a debug.txt would help
I've done some searching, but I can't seem to find this issue. Maybe I'm just bad at searching...
Latest version of RR, Winamp 2.95, Carwings and nothing too fancy.
I listen to some MP3s, then go to Sirius, for example, then shut off the car, which hibernates the computer. (Standard, no HORM).
After resume Winamp is playing the playlist that was loaded from the very beginning, then Sirius starts on top of it. Obnoxious.
So I have to click over to music, which shuts off the Sirius, then click back to sirius, which then turns it back on and off the mp3.
Resuming a playlist, if I'm playing one when shutting down, works just fine.
Anyone?Thx, all!

Which is the best version of Winamp to use with RR?
If you don't use unicode, winamp 2.95 is fine. For newer winamp versions we recommend the latest but AT LEAST 5.35 or newer.

I actually have been experiencing a similar problem as well... i ended up just turning resume to never and i have been fine since, however I am running winamp 5.13
I suppose setting resume to never would fix the problem, but I like it when it resumes the right way.![]()

rr will handle all the nessassry resumes...
no need for any special plugins for winamp
just set resumemusic=2 in rr.ini
and if you are playing mp3, when you go to sleep... when pc resumes... winamp will play where it left off

His issue seems to be that winamp resumes when he hibernated whilst playing sirius
Does RR on resume look at the resume.ini for what ever winamp was playing, even if it was not playing 'music' on shutdown?
i dont understand the question, E
if when shutdown he wasnt playing music, then resume.ini wouldnt have that as the resume source
winamp's last playlist is reloaded, but no play command would be issued
if winamp is playing on its own, thats winamp issue
-Thanks

No, say you are playing music in the music player, then go to xm and then turn hibernate and resume. When you resume you will find that the music player will be playing AND xm will be playing, and it clearly isnt a winamp issue, as when you set resume to never in rr.ini this does not happen.
I dont know if that clears this up at all...
