only if we knew when sygic (never heard of it) told us its giving directions
New mp3car member here trying to setup a carpc for the first time (I have an asus eee netbook modded with a touchscreen). I have been trying out different front-ends and gps systems and so far I like RR as my front end and Sygic Drive as my gps. I'm using the eLite skin for RR, and have gotten Sygic embedded within RR.
I mainly listen to audio books, so it would be great if RR would pause winamp audio when Sygic gives directions. Is there any way to accomplish this? Everything I have found regarding pausing during directions refers to iguidance.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-leb

Sun, Come shine my way
May healing waters bury all my pain

Here is a link to Sygit's website:

Here is a link to the mp3car forum dedicated to Sygic Drive:

I thought it would make more sense to post my request in the RR forum rather than the Sygic one. I can post to the sygic forum also, but I don't know if cross-posting is frowned upon here or not.
i dont have enough time.. to look at sygic...
i go to thier page, im confused what is the sw for the PC
i see iphone...
i see there is a API, to what i dont know
i dont understand thier site

I think that i have your solution.
Try that link please, Navmute.zip .
-I put all files in the program folder (where also Drive.exe resides).
-Then I opened a command prompt and typed "setdll.exe -d:NavMute.dll Drive.exe" or create a cmd file : create a backup of your drive.exe file before !!!!
That's all. Sygic now sends the commands "NAVPAUSE" and "NAVRESUME" to RR
to add in your exectbl.ini :
"NAVPAUSE","PAUSE||SETVOL;Winamp;100"
"NAVRESUME","SETVOL;Winamp;255||RESUME"
If you use the RRextended plugin, the better solution is:
"NAVPAUSE","RRVolRamper_Dn;75;30||Wait;2"
"NAVRESUME","RRVolRamper_Up;100;30
I have tested with winamp player for audio files
in rr.ini file:
[Audio Player Setup]
player=WINAMP
Wmp player run well also
[Audio Player Setup]
player=WMPRR
I have tested with foobar2000 and i think that "NAVPAUSE" and "NAVRESUME" don't run .
[Audio Player Setup]
player=FOOBARRR
I have tested on Sygic Rc11 and run very well .
I'm also using NavMute. Works well with SygicDrive. It sends the commands "NAVPAUSE" (when giving directions) and "NAVRESUME" (when directions are done) to RideRunner. Add these commands to your ExecTBL.ini, and assign commands to it, f.ex.
"NAVPAUSE","PAUSE"
"NAVRESUME","PLAY"
Thanks pierrotm777. I followed your instructions and the pausing and resuming are working perfectly. The only other thing I needed to do was to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package in order to be able to run setdll.exe on my computer (the readme within Navmute.zip explained that it might be necessary).
For future reference, I am using RR version 10/06/2009, Sygic RC12 and Winamp 2.95.
Please try this I creat command myself
install foo_runcmd.dll f2k components
use this command lines in exectbl.ini
"NAVPAUSE","run;C:\Program Files\foobar2000\foobar2000.exe" /runcmd="Playback/pause"
"NAVRESUME","run;C:\Program Files\foobar2000\foobar2000.exe" /runcmd="Playback/play"
Its work for me
If u want to use pause and play to smooth sound u should set fading (ms) in preference > advance > playback option of f2k
