    dual monitor

I have 2 lilliputs running off of a after market pny dual vga card. Both monitors work and are setup using nvidia control panel. They are configured as independently from each other (dualview). My rr.ini is setup with dualmon TRUE. When I play a movie it plays on the main screen? Here is my rr.ini

    Hi,

Help, I have exactly the same problem.

Assuming both screens have a resolution of 800x600, I changed the XPosition in the general.ini in riderunner file from zero to XPosition=800 and the video now appears on the second screen, as do the rest of riderunner apps.

If (using the BMV skin) I place the command /POSX=0 in the external_gps.skin, I get iGuidance in the first screen, however I cannot keep the video displaying in the second screen even though the dualmon=True option does keep the video playing in the background, it visibly vanishes as it switches to the GPS screen.

It seems that whereever the position of the menu screen appears, thats exactly where the video appears.

How can I prevent video from following the /xpos command in the menu screen and how can I keep both GPS and Video displaying at the same time?

I've spent several weeks on this problem so any help would be appreciated.

Dual Monitor Problem Resolved (For Me Atleast)

Finally figured out a dual-monitor solution using roadrunner for me at least. As a few people have already mentioned on this site, you need to use the video-overlay function (assuming your video card has that feature). I have an Nvidia graphics card Geforce 2 chipset.

    Assuming yours is similar:

    1) Setup the two displays as "clone" under nView Display Settings. Hence both will display exactly same video.

    2) Under the Nvidia Zoom menu, enable the zoom feature and select "Full Zoom" for the display you wish to use for video, i.e I use display 1 for roadrunner/GPS and display 2 for video.

    3) Ensure RoadRunner has the dualmon optioned enabled.

    Thats it!

Now when I start a video on the primary display, it also runs video fullscreen on the secondary display. I am then able to go back to the primary display and either continue running video, or select another application, e.g. GPS. The video is undisturbed on the secondary display unless I select Music, Radio or Video functions on the primary display.

Video card I am using is integrated on a shuttle XPC SN41G2V2 using Nvidia Geforce 2 chipset. Most Nvidia chipsets have video overlay function, bear in mind this machine is a good 5+ years old.

Also it is not necessary to run two instances of roadrunner using the method I described. In practice if video is running on the second display and GPS announces any audio information, it will simply be mixed with the videos audio stream.

finally got it to work lol, used nvidia set up as dual view then clicked that video only play full screen on second monitor. I dont think I have dualmon=true in rr.ini . Think that feature is useless in my setup. IT works great. I then decided to play with the touch on the second monitor and get that to work as well. Little bit of playing with touchscreen software and it works. Just make sure u do 4 point calibration on the second monitor as well as the main monitor.
