need some help embedding a navigation app

I am a ride runner newbie trying to use a navagation application within ride runner.

using rrconfig I was able to point to the path of the app and such and get it to launch and it almost works perfect except what seems to be happening is the app extends over the control buttons at the bottom of the skin. the play, forward, reverse, etc....

if I exit the screen and then come back in then I see the buttons again but I can't click them still, assuming the nav app is still taking up the realestate.

how would I go about troubleshooting this?

screen shots below. first is the first launch, second is hitting back to go to main menu and then chosing the nav again.

yah thing is this app is none of those.
as you can see by the screen shot I can get it to fire off and it works fine.

it's just that it seems to overtake the audio nav buttons at the bottom. thats the problem I am trying to solve.

make sure you have the window name correct for it to embed.

If you have and it does the above whilst embedded then it ould be one of those apps that doesn't like to resize.

In which case there is nothing you can do unless someone can write a wrapper for it.

k, I will keep fiddling. the app is set to run 800x480

wondering if a different skin may produce different results.

It would help if you actually mentioned what nav app you are trying to embed then.

horay, I got a 640x480 version that pops right into the fx skin.
now I just have to learn to remap all those buttons he as on each side for the default gps application to something more useful for me.

lol, once i have my final hardware I will be provided a license since it ties into the hardware

pays to have friends in the Navigation Biz.

right now just learning in a VM on the ol Mac Book.

actually if it works really well, going to try to convince them to provide to the car pc crowd.
