Need some help w/ RR and the windows taskbar

I've set RR Config to NOT hide the taskbar since I've set it to autohide.

However, despite setting the taskbar to stay on top of all windows, RR stays topmost and prevents me from accessing the taskbar, which pops up behind RR.

Is there anyway around this where the taskbar will popup over RR when I position the mouse on the bottom of the screen?

    TIA!

I just did what you described on XP and it worked as it should (Taskbar showed on top of RR every time) -- so which Windows version are you using ? RR by itself does not have any code making its own screens "ON TOP" of the others (Topmost attribute) -- in fact if RR did this, most embedded applications would stay behind RR (out of reach). My best guess based on your description is that something is preventing your taskbar from being "ON TOP" (topmost) -- but RR itself won't mess with that.

    That's the wierd thing.

On my laptop running XP Home SP2 w/ the resolution set to 800x600, the taskbar pops up above RR. My netbook running XP Home SP3 behaves the same.

Only my carPC running OEM XP Home SP2 keeps RR above the taskbar.

I have actually seen this from time to time, it happens on the work comp with any ole window open. And even running the cmd "SETTOPMOST;RideRunner;false" won't even fix it.

maybe you can open WinspectorSpy and see if RR's window has the WS_EX_TOPMOST attribute set ? (you can view it by selecting the RR window in the list, right click and selecting 'Edit Window Extended Styles'.. You can try taking it off in the same screen to see if it behaves correctly too.
