laptop (Intel Core 2 T5500 w/ 1G ram running XP). But my truckPC (Intel Atom 230 w/ 1G ram running Win7) basically just stalls.
testing on an Intel Centrino 1.2Ghz, 1.5Gb Ram, XP. Just recently I updgraded to an Intel Centrino 1.33Ghz, 2Gb Ram and Win7. I don't think my computer is too powerful by any standards.
Ok, I will try and get a file out either today or tomorrow. Maybe I can post a 30 seconds sample of the file on here as well.
Just wanted to add I have this problem also, I think I may have been the user to request 2.2 support to be added again, but for some reason the way iTunes creates a 2.2 file hangs RR. I purchased an album today on iTunes, converted it to mp3, then transferred to my carpc and sure enough rr froze. Used mp3tag to convert to 2.3 and everything is perfect again.
Ok... as I said.. with my files it was all good.. Mitch converted a file and sent it to me and I then saw what the issue was... it wasn't "freezing" up, but it was really slow because of some picture/image tags that were being processed. If you had a few of those files in the same place it would definitely look like it was frozen. I made an adjustment to make RR only process the tags that it can use and now it is as fast as any other tags.
Well crap. I was just getting ready to send you a file, but you decided to work around my slow ***. Sorry for taking so long on getting them to you -- crazy times at work + I couldn't find a copy of the file before I converted it to 2.3 (finally found it on a USB stick).
Again, sorry, but thanks for the quick fix!
