try to narrow down the issue... try another skin, other skin with flash, but not that one

I'd keep things simple till you figure out the issue, like only use RR is connected to the GPS com port.

Try the default RR Carwings skin (has no flash but would tell is that is part of the problem or not)

You never said if you looked at this from Johns posting:

Also, you can check for the "Locate=xxx" in the rr and skin.ini's. If you find this line, delete it as well and test again.

Also, if it still freezes, run RR a few times, noting the time between you start RR and when it freezes to see if its consistently around the same time frame.

• I can't find a Locate= anywhere in a skin.ini
• It does it with the crystalSilver and the Beta skin too
• It only happens if the GPS is connected and a port selected
• The guages do work before it hangs
• You don't have to go to the guages for it to hang
• The time to hang is rough about 30-40secs
• I've swicted off hardware acc.,
• There is only one port occupied
• I'm running Flash 10,0,45,2

Hope someone can shed more light on this!

try another gps splitter like GPSGATE.. download the demo version or the cracked one (if you want to go to jail )

To narrow down the problem I've removed the software port splitter, so I don't think it's xport causing the trouble.

The "Locate" setting would most likely be in the rr.ini file. Trying to brainstorm what else you can check or change....

There wasn't a zips.dll, but there was a zips.dat, I deleted that and I'm back running again, maybe it was polling that and as I'm not in the US I was outside it's range and had some issues.

Hi, i've encountered the same problem, but these things doesn't help me. The cpu is at 60% when it freezes. And i cant fint any files with zips in it. And there is no line in any .ini files called locate.

Anybody got an idea?
