Is it possible force reloading of objects of a screen like variable and images

Is it possible force reloading of objects of a screen like variable and images without having use the RELOADSCREEN command or the /DISCARDABLE command?

You might need to be more specific. Reloading of a variable? And depending what you mean about images could be possible.

For images you can use loadimg or ldimg, for flash there's a command to set the movie, for buttons there's no current way to do it (but you could mimic it using variables and images). For Labels you can use a variable and just clear/set it when desired. If you're talking about some other object, you may have to specify what you're talking about.

Yes, I am mostly taking about the button commands. Would this be something hard to implement into RR?

It's easy to add a button, removing an existing one is just not a planned thing. You could make a button such as:

    Bxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,"$CMD$"

then if you want to disable the button you can just set CMD to nothing, if you want to enable set it to the desired command.

Visually, when you disable the button you can use LOADIMG to replace the ON/OFF/DOWN layers of the button with an "empty" space (what you want to show in the place of the button). When you enable it you can use LOADIMG to load the ON/OFF/DOWN images to match the button information.

This is a bit "messy" just because you'll need the images for each button separately or you'll have to load the whole screen image at once -- in which case reloadscreen and /discardable would have similar effect.

I see someone mentioned flash, but you didnt mention it on your first post, so I dont know if you are trying to do it in Flash or not

If you are not, then these will work:

    To display an image:
    "FILE;$SKINPATH$Images\MyImage.png"

Whenever the image on the hard drive changes, it will update instantly.

If you need to change it with a variable, you can do this:
    "FILE;$SKINPATH$Images\$MyImage$"
So if the variable $MyImage" contained "MyIcon.png" that is the image that will show, then you can just update the variable to what image you want to change it to:
    "SetVar;MyImage;NewIcon.png"

As for labels, just wrap your variable in the $ signs:

    "=$MyVariable_01$"

This way the label will show what is contained in the variable, when the variable updates or changes, it will show instantly.
