Mitch, when you say "GLOBAL Hot key support" does it mean that Hot Keys will work even if RideRunner is not the current active window ?

To what extent is the Winamp media library database support? I didn't see any real mention of it in the the documentation. Has the internal search been updated as well?

    UNLOADALLSCREENS is NOT like reloadskin...
its close, but not the same...
since i never knew the point of "unloadallscreens" from you
its HOW i interpreted it.. and it can go either way
but when working one on one with john, i learned how to actually unload al lscreens
    -Thanks

The point was to unload all the screens in memory apart from the one you are on so that they do not remember their previous settings for font types, colours etc without reloading the skin, which causes the menu to pop up briefly and the skin.ini to be re-read.

Never mind I haven't tested what you did, and haven't implemented it my skins so I won't bother with doing what I wanted to do with it.

    Thanks anyway.

I won't bother asking how my request regarding the iLists went.

im still not sure what you want... but try "reloadallscreens" its the right way to change colors or such

also... as of now, i cannot unload "menu.skin" at any point without putting it right back in, and that will cause
general.ini and skin.ini to be read (lots of techincal reasons why)
but "reloadallscreens" was the key to the best solution, for quick skin changes
    -Thanks

That's why it was "unload all screens except Menu skin and the one you are on"

Enforcer: It's pretty simple, read the first post again:

    • Skin Command; "RELOADALLSCREENS", unloads all screens, and reloads all of the screen that where loaded
    • Skin Command; "UNLOADALLSCREENS", will unload all screens except current screen and menu

If you want to keep the screen you are on, and not reload the menu.skin, use the "UNLOADALLSCREENS".

If you want to reload ALL screens, including the one you are on and the menu.skin then use "RELOADALLSCREENS"

This just now gives to options depending on what you want to do at the time.

These both differ from a "RELOADSKIN" as the ExecTbl & plugins, as well as embedded applications are not reprocessed. The skin.ini really has to be reprocessed, as if you are changing a color, and saving it to the skin.ini, in needs to read it back in on the reload.

with the RELOADALLSCREENS, the menu is also reloaded, otherwise if you change any logo's, wallpaper, font colors, it would change everywhere in the skin except the main menu. (If you were to use RELOADALLSCREENS||RELOADSCREEN for instance)
