keep in my rr doesnt draw or run the flash, thats all handled by adobe... so it could be issue with 1, your .swfs or flash itself
there is no limit to swfs put in by RR
and once rr sets the movie name to the object, RR is basically done with it

The flash objects are not intensive at all.. they are realy just for displaying some labels indicators etc.

I have seen much the same in one of my skins, too. Not nearly as often on the "non-appearing," but the freezing of RR happens to me about the same regularity as you stated. I assume (there's that danger word) that it has to do with my video driver/memory. Could also be my CPU (1.2G Dual Core), but I don't think so - CPU usually hovers at 54%.

I have also found that the order that they load makes a difference. Labels that feed flash object need to be early in the .skin. Flash that reads internet info should be last; graphic intensive should be next to last; and ones with the least updates go first.

I don't know of a limit to the amount if flash RR can handle. I currently have 9 flash objects in this skin:


As a last ditch effort, you may want to spread them out in the skin file so they don't all load at the same time, i.e., flash/buttons/flash/labels/flash/lists/flash/buttons/flash/images/etc, etc, etc. Lastly, how many plugins are you running and is the flash object dependent on them? That may also have an effect on whether a flash loads.

I run about 20 swf per skin, mostly without problem...they are small animated buttons/indicators/status swf's....check out my flashflex skin in my sig...

Oh damn! I forgot to mention! Sometime last year Adobe released an update to Flash that totally borked my flash components....try an older veresion of flash, like 12-15 months ago....

Adobe..Last year...update... I get that nice Flash updater at least once a month or so...one has to keep current when using third party SW, unless you like to find ones creations broken for no apparent reason..

there is a possible total flash limit, but I'm still not 100% sure, its about 30 movies, without further testing i cant say for sure
this isn't a RR limitation, its just a flash activex limitation.. but I'm still not 100% convinced

and as blue said, i keep updated as adobe pushes them on me, and find no issues, it just gets better with their hw accelleration on h264 videos

dont know, dont think downgrade will help... there just is a limit
