Quite true, there are many, MANY ways to add songs to the disks
- Search for "Rain" and then in the playlist manager, select [Search results], select Send To Disk, and every song that has the word "rain" will be on that disk.
- Search for "Journey" and do the same as above, and every Journey song in your collection, no matter if its a full album, a song on a compilation album ect is sent to the disk
- While browsing, select an artist, and press select to disk, and all albums for that artist are added to the disk
- While browsing, go into any artist and select an album. Press "Select to disk" and that album is added to the disk you choose
- To create a new playlist with multiple albums, songs ect, on the playlist screen, click "Clear Playlist" to clear anything out. Then browse and highlight a artist, album song and press the "Add Sel" above the list to add it to the current playlist. Do this as much as you want. When done, go to the playlist manager, save it as whatever you want to name it. Then select it in the list and click "To Disk".
- Take an of your existing playlists, move them into the RR defined PLAYLISTPATH. Select one of them in the playlist manager, and choose "To Disk"
- Choose "Browse Mode", "Genre". In the list select a genre, and click "Sel To Disk" and every song in that genre is added to the disk.

Cool...
It's very flexible. I had gotten several disks from the library and had about 150 songs in a folder. I then wanted to add songs from the genre that I already had on my hard drive to make one awesome mix. But, I only wanted my absolute favorites. So I browsed by album and added the songs that I wanted. The whole collection still ended up being 350 songs.
When using the randomize feature on the disk player, will there be repeats? Or does the order of the list get randomized, ensuring no repeats? Also what happens when you shut the computer down? Does it remember the randomized order? If so, I would listen to all 350 songs before hearing a repeat. That's a lot of driving!
Thanks for the quick responses..
If now I could only get some ideas on that Streets and Trips Keyboard....
There will be no repeated songs. When you add them to a disk, if a song already exists on the virtual disk, it will ignore it and just keep one copy.
If you load a disk, and then randomize, it is done in memory alone, and will not be saved to the disk in that order. However, you can randomize it, then add that playlist back to the disk, choosing to replace the songs when asked, and the random order will now be saved permanently.

I guess I should have been more clear about the repeats. Since it's a playlist, it goes through it in order, there won't be any repeats. Even if the order is randomized, once the song is played, it won't play again until the list repeats. Unless you hit randomize again, and change the order. What I meant is that even if I shut down RR, it seems to remember the playlist it was playing, and start where it left off, hence no repeats because it's the same list.
I have this problem on the 10 disk CD changer I currently have in my car. It plays MP3 disks, so it holds a lot of songs. Needless to say, letting the disk play from start to finish always plays the songs in the same order. After having the same disks in the car for several years, I have the order memorized. Not that it's a bad thing, I like all the songs. I do have a randomize feature, but I've noticed that it's truly random, and can repeat songs, and I don't use it.
Seeing that randomize on RR randomizes the list, there won't be repeats. Even shutting down the computer and restarting keeps the list the same, as far as I can tell. Playback starts right where it left off. I suppose I could check Winamp and see the next 10 songs that will play, do a restart, and make sure the songs are still in the same order, just to confirm.
Yes, RR does remember what playlist was playing when you exit and resumes it at startup at the same track time

I finally got to try the patch and it works for me, too. Thanks again, John!

I am having a problem I guess either setting up playlists, or where they are saved. I looked in the DFX skin help file, and it states "Also note, that all of the play lists have to be in the root folder, and not in subdirectories, or RR will not locate them, or be able to list them in the Manage Playlist screen.".
Is the root folder the "C:\", or in the RideRunner file folder?
When I have a group of songs imported from the browser to the playlist, then go into manage playlist. I select the new button, and give it a name. Hit return from the OSK, I get a window of by background image with the name and a OK button. When I try to load my playlist, I can not find it. I can search for the playlist in windows explorer and can find it no problem. So I know thay are being created.
I also have m3u & m3u8 file extensions in the allowed music types setup in the Blue's config app.
What am I not doing correctly?

OK yes I put my playlist folder where you said to, and they are created and placed in that folder. The problem I am having is that when I am trying to retrieve a playlist, they just don't show up. They are in there when I look for them in Windows explorer. The list is always empty in my manage playlist screen.
