Problem with directory list

I'm trying to create a skin for my RRVLC to list all the videos in a thumbnail directory list.

I'm using carwings dynamic lite, using the video_browser.skin file to start, renaming it RRVLC1_browser.skin.

I added SD,02,02,130,120,"$VIDEOPATH$" and removed the IL,DL,transparent.bmp,sel.bmp,,0,50,60
line.

I then changed the dvd menu option in the exectbl.ini to "MyApp04","LOAD;RRVLC1_browser.skin"

If I make the same change directly to video_browser.skin it all works fine, I see all the folders and files, but it doesn't work for my RRVLC1_browser.skin, I see a nothing where the list should be and I cant figuire out why.

Any ideas please

the SD line needs to know what file types you want to be shown

SD,02,02,130,120,"$VIDEOPATH$","*.*"

or better yet

SD,02,02,130,120,"$VIDEOPATH$","$VIDEOFILES$"

or

SD,02,02,130,120,"$VIDEOPATH$",".mkv,.ts"

you get the idea

Should have mentioned I'd already tried that. The videotypes variable was a good new thing on me. Thanks though. Any other ideas. As I say it does work in the audio browser but not my skin.

Edit. Got it to work. I had left the skin name as dvd_browser. When I changed just the name to rrvlc1_browser.skin it all works. So now the question , why does the name dvd_browser not work. Is it a reserved name in RR?
