I will be using a Joycon so would it just be better to disable the factory bluetooth and tap into the wires for the steering wheel controls? But i would need to setup a mic in the car for me to talk into. what do you guys think?
I have a new Honda that has factory bluetooth. The unit is separate from the factory radio. What happens is when a call is received the bluetooth unit sends sound to the factory radio, the factory radio will mute the radio and only use the front speakers to transmit the sound from the phone call. Is there any way to do something like this in RR? Would this need to be a separate input than going through the sound card?
I'm currently in the Purchasing stage of my build and haven't figured out how to do it. I am defiantly a newbie to RR and i have alot of learning ahead of me.

Personally, I would not rely on the PC for the phone. It will never be as rock solid as the factory one. I would look at inputting the sound from the PC, through the head unit. Then you can control the sound with the volume control on the head unit, and maintain the muting and such when making and receiving a call.
I am 100% pro CarPC, trust me! Just I have through trial and error, found that there is no bulletproof phone integration that I have found.
I personally went with a Parrot setup, and it works the same way your factory system does.
