I think the last skin I did for RR was Ultimate, that must be 3 or 4 years ago now. I do have one unreleased skin which was a complete rip off of Centrafuse which David asked me not to release but I don't see why it couldn't be released now as they have changed there look completely.

I will see if I can dig it out.

    Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I decided to give the new RR a shot. I uninstalled Road Runner and DFX 2.0.
Then installed .net 2.0, the newest Flash, and the newest Winamp. Then I installed RR 9/1. It installed fine, but after the install when it tries to run RRconfig I get an error "duplicate ini found: Winamp/GEN/AVS" <----------NOT AN EXACT QUOTE just what I remember from last night. If I hit continue I get another long error and RRconfig won't start. I'll mess with it more today and try to get it sorted out.

The actual error is "duplicate ini variable found: visuname=Winamp GEN/AVS" I'm going start digging through the ini files. This is an XP install in NON profile mode.

OK. I deleted and re-installed RR. I installed .net 3.5. It did give me the duplicate ini error again but then let me into RRconfig and after editing it every thing seems to be working fine. It ask for a registration number that I should have received when I downloaded RR but I can't find it in my emails. I still have a lot to set up, but so far I'm happy with RideRunner.

That registration number is only to keep the 3 month update screen from showing up, after 3 months past the date of the RR release. We the RR Dev Team only support up to the last three releases and users wanted a way to turn off that reminder screen, which is fine as long as your not have having issues past that 3 month support time frame.

I keep convince myself to upgrade, but every time I did, something broke. I end up using the old version I modified.
I only use music, video, gps and the old version work well for me.

But even that being the case, depending on how old of one you are using, there more than likely have been several performance fixes. Most little suff but when you add all of the little suff up. it amounts to quite a bit... And most of the "broken" things your talking about is because RR now has far better error checking and doesn't allow for the sloppyness that the one would allow you to get away with, which in some cases, was causing problems in other parts of the code.

So with the reg. # as long as everything is working right you are not forced to update RR. That sounds great, but it looks like updating RR and DFX will be pretty painless from now on.

    BUT I didn't get a REG # when I downloaded RR?

Great work on DFX btw! I still have a lot of tweaking to do but I'm loving it. I downloaded the 8/11/11? version and it updated 4 or 5 newer versions flawlessly. I'll be hittin the APPstore soon.

No, you don't get one when DL'ing RR, in the RR Stickies, there is a small app that will help you with this, if you get it working without any issues and want to disable the reminder. Found HERE
