I would think it would be pretty straight forward, done just once when you get the RR Labels:

    Code:
Dim MyGPSLat As String = SDK.GetUserLabel("GPSLAT")
    MyGPSLat = MyGPSLat.Replace(",", ".")
Front End of Choice: Ride Runner (Is there anything else??? ) & Powered by the DFX5.1 Skin Available in the Mobile App Mart

I am having a similar problem, instead of starting a new thread I figured this one is close enough in issue. I am in the US and I have the zips.dat file in the RR program files directory, also have the september 2011 release.

The problem I am having is the CURRENTZIP, CURRENTCITY, AND CURRENTSTATE labels do not contain any data. My GPSLAT AND GPSLON labels are working correctly. Is there something else I need for these labels to work?

zips.dat does not belong in RR's folder. It belongs in the plugins data folder

    legacy mode is in %PROGRAMFILES%\Riderunner\plugins\GPS2City

    profile mode is in %MYDOCUMENTS%\riderunners\plugins\GPS2City

Great thanks sonic! For some reason the CURRENTZIP CURRENTCITY and CURRENTSTATE labels are part of the riderunner skin commands and does not say anything about a zips.dat or needing the GPS2City plugin.

(zips.dat his how all that works, takes gps cords and figures out where you are close too)

    from History.txt

    7/29/2011
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    - zips.dat processing from core, creating a GPS2City Plugin

    also highlighted in
    http://www.mp3car.com/road-runner/14...1-release.html

this should not be in core, so i pulled it out, and its been a plugin since

dont always believe the documentation , its very very hard to maintain, but history.txt should contain all changes
even then its still hard to know, even i have no idea lots of times, BUT when i dont know i go right to history.txt
    -Thanks

Thanks mitch. I assumed the other documents were updated whenever commands are added or removed. I will make sure to check the history in the future.

I have made a little script that can create easily a final script for GPS2City.
Just rename the final file by Zips.dat .
You can just to adapt it to your needs !
