    Upgraded to October RR release now BoomzBox has no sound output!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My RR.ini that worled perfectly with my May 2011 RR exe:

    [MJSG UAS]
    radiouasinput=0
    xmuasinput=0
    sruasinput=0

    [Radio]
    radio=HDRadio
    allowallfreqs=false
    radioline=0
    uselineinplugin=true
    lineinpar=line://dev=1
    uselineinsingleinstance=false
    userbds=true
    RadioPort=2
    HDRadioType=Mp3Car

    So much for backward compatible. Mitch, what did you change to break this?

    stop accusing RR of breaking stuff, nothing has changed...
    how about your lineline plugin, maybe your lines have changed...
    i would look at that... is your line muted?
    play with winamp, and line in plugin, with hdradiopcr and get it working
    nothing to do with RR here, audio all comes from WINAMP (when using the line in plugin)
    -Thanks

    You're right and I don't blame RR, I blame YOU.

    Checked that twice, all are where they should be. And before you say it yes I checked with the Carwings, and I checked with the Boomzbox software. Boomzbox software works perfectly just like it did before I updated RR. Carwing is also mute.

    The line is unmuted but I got no sound. The control lines and variables are still active and working, just no sound.

    NONE OF THOSE PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN CHANGED.
    To reiterate one more time for those that may not be paying attention. Everything worked perfectly using the older RR exe, the ONLY ONE THING that was changed to my system was UPDATING RR.

    CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME TROUBLESHOOT WHY THE PREVIOUS RR RELEASE ON THIS COMPUTER WORKED AND THE MOST RECENT RR RELEASE DOES NOT?

    I have noticed sometimes when I upgrade RideRunner I get no sound.

    What I find is winamp's volume has somehow been set to zero.

    Doesn't happen every time, but I have had it happen on two PC's with this months RR.

    Hasn't happened for a few months now, but I know it has done it in the past.

    Hey giz, open up the boomzbox standalone app, right click and hit settings. Uncheck, then recheck the audio engine. All should be well again. I had this problem when updating to a recent version of RR as well, though i dare not blame RR, for such an act is blasphemy.

    Yes this has happened to me in the past, also. I checked it, the volume in audio player is working fine and I have not programmed a volume change for Winamp line in plugin.

    Didn't fix the underlying issue.

    From history.txt:

    Code:
    6/23/2011
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    * Setting; "uselineinplugin" to "RadioUseLineInPlugin", due to vagueness
    * Setting; "lineinpar" to "RadioLineInPar", due to vagueness
    Changed variable names in rr.ini ,backward compatibility out the window again, and now I have sound from Boomzbox radio (kinda what I thought when I posted my rr.ini settings). Thank God it was only a change to rr.ini.

    i figured you read history, as you can see it made sense to change the setting names
    and i should have noticed that in your 1st post (i must be going blind)
    sorry
    and that was now 4 months ago

    enforcer how winamp volume can get to zero, is IMPROPER closure of RR or Winamp closing before RR
    ie Kill Winamp
    or a crash of RR, could cause the winamp volume to get 0
    i have known this for a while, long while, but havent been able to come up with simple fix
    -Thanks

    i actually want to change more settings, to remove vagueness and to prevent collisions with skin designers and plugins

    like this "allowallfreqs" really should be "RadioAllowAllFreqs"

    actually if you notice, all new commands, vars, settings, if they are RR's im trying to enforce prefix of "RR"
    -Thanks
