you should never do id3taging while driving....
just what do you want TAGTITLE to be when you have no id3tag?
you can always use titlesafter= and that will work...
filenames have to be then with the char you want to split at...
no change has been done to how tags are generated....
example file name is: Dream Theater - As I am.wav
when setting titlesafter=-
TAGTITLE will be " As I am"
simple...
I use Traditional Chinese, I have no problem in all ID tag when changed to Unicode, but sometime the character changed to ?? in each chinese word in playlist, I need to reload the playlist again.
? is usually there if a font subtituion cant be made... remember with unicode, your font has to support it...
and most dont, so windows will subititute, also if some other external application is working with the playlist
and its in vb6 it may not be unicode.... and corrupt the data
Now that you mention, yes I do experience this problem (I am using Simplified Chinese) occasionally. After selecting the songs I wanna hear, it shows up ok as expected.Quote:

Not sure if it's a problem cause by Winamp or RR. And you are right, reloading the playlist fix the problem.
winamp hu, my suggestion, is not to have winamp fetch tags!!!!
let RR do it!!
go with this setting, and test.... then if u still have the problem
test with carwings, and come up with a method to reproduce
remeber when you exit rr, rrpl is saved out, along with tagcache, when rr restarts
rrpl is reloaded, and tagcache is used for tags
