Music Audio MIA in Windows 7 & Roadrunner

OK gang. I need help. This one is really hurting my brain. Car computer has been working fine for a long time, and suddenly I have lost Music output. Setup is RoadRunner, player is set to Windows Media Player, and OS is Win 7. I have sound. I hear all system sounds. I can play music in other players, including Windows Media Player. I can hear click sounds and audio prompts in RoadRunner. However, no music from RoadRunner comes out the speakers.

I can see from the Win 7 mixer that RoadRunner is generating audio. The bar dances with the beat, but never hits the audio device.

Is there some way in RoadRunner to change output device or something? I'm sure the solution is simple, but it evades me. Your wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

think your problem is very simple.
you have switched your windows 7 output to Digital Output.

Click the START symbol (bottom row left sided)
    selec DEVICES/PRINTER click

opend box shows you in first row Printer
    in second row your PC
set the cursor above PC and click the RIGHT mouse button

a box would be opend where it shws which output chnnel is selected.

i bet the DIGITAL OUTPUT is on

go to row (SPEAKER) and if the cursor is above click the right mouse button again

a table of selections are opend. switch the ACTIVATE selecton and the sound comes back.

a half hour before i had the same problem, while i try to install my ADS radio.

    regards

Nope. It's all set for Speakers. Besides if it was defaulting to Digital Output, I would have no sound in anything. However, I have every sound in everything, other than Roadrunner's music. I hear all system sounds and music in other players, including Windows Media Player. I can even hear click sounds and audio prompts in RoadRunner. However, no music from RoadRunner comes out the speakers.

    funny thing...

    1. its RideRunner

and what player you using? cause RideRunner doesnt play audio itself (well not for mp3s, except WMP)
remember, winamp, foobar, play the audio files...
using wmp, it would prob show as rr...
and you could have the odd ball wmp volume at 0...
but mark my word... thats your problem
or some settings in WMP, could be the issue... i dont use it enough... to know all the answers
it always goes back to providing good info here for people to help

anyway.. using CARWINGS, to to the equalizer screen, and raise the "WINAMP VOLUME" (should really be labled PLAYER VOLUME)

option 2, delete config file wmprr.ini

    Mitch,

You are my hero.... I was this |-| close to taking the sub-machine gun to the shopping mall. You have saved at-least 5 stroller moms and/or store clerks. LOL

No clue how that got turned down. DFX doesn't even have a slider for that volume, atleast not that I can find.

    Thanks a bunch.
