phuz, what version of rr are you using?

and btw, if you start RR, and there is NO active source to resume to, it wont show anything...

course if you ask me, you should always resume...

at the very least

but if there is nothing to resume to, ie no resume.ini, rr will start idle with NO source active... thus there cant be any trackname!

I use Winamp 5.623, ID3V2, my files are named: (Album is AC/DC, Back In Black, Folder structure is D:\Music\AC-DC\Back In Black)

It seems that the on the audio_player.skin the info for the Artist, Album, Song, Year, and Genre Does not load until I get to track 09 Shake a Leg, and even then, only the Song Field loads, and it says the complete filename (09 Shake a Leg), none of the other fields populate. If I use the Skintool 2.1.5 and try to get info such as "TAGTITLE", the track 01-08 show "< Contains No Data >". When I get to track 09, then "TAGTITLE" will be populated with "09 Shake a Leg". Pressing "NEXT" goes to "10 Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution". The view when I press the "Playlists" button shows all the tracks in the proper order, exactly as in the structure above, except for the .mp3 is not on the end.

This behavior is consistent for almost every playlist I load. There is one folder (80's) that does not have numbered tracks, the songs are in alphabetical order. On that playlist the first 8 songs show nothing, song 9 shows just the title, song 10 and up show the full gamut, Artist, Album, Song, Year, and Genre.

Anybody got any ideas?

since i cant remember everthing, rthis is fixed.. cant tell you when though..download newest installer... cant even tell you if its newer than what you got

well, i think you issue was fixed a month ago...
but maybe i dont know what your issue is

rr will only fetch tags it needs, when it needs them, ie the item is visable

Yeah, it should be the most updated, I just downloaded everything (RR, DFX, Winamp), last saturday. I'll try it in Carwings, of course. I did plug in my HDRadio yesterday with your cable and drivers...it worked AWESOME.

It's just that the behavior is so radically different in whether it has track numbers stored in the file name or not, but not showing any data until I get the the 9th track in the playlist...weird. I'll try Carwings either tonight or tomorrow.

maybe u got bad tags, maybe you got a setting wrong, ie not using tags

OK, if I set it to exactly your settings, it works perfectly. If I deviate at all from your suggested settings, it starts to act up. The only thing I don't care for when I use your settings is that in the playlist browser, it only shows me the name of the album. I have my playlists done by albums. So my playlist "Aerosmith - Just Push Play.3mu", instead of seeing "Aerosmith - Just Push Play", All I see is "Just Push Play". If I remove the "-", then the playlists look how I want, and so far things look to be behaving. So really the only change I made was to check the "Show ID3 Playlist" and "Show ID3 Browse", it appears to be behaving now.
