Nice - now I have to rewrite my skin to switch my dynamic menus to this. Good excuse to streamline a few things. Good work.

    Hi Mitch

There's just one bit of this that is confusing me. It's in relation to the COMMANDs. I copied a menu from another skin into the Reborn Skin. The menu is called "GAUGES"

There are several files which I have copied
    GAUGES.skin
    GAUGES_DOWN.JPG
    GAUGES_OFF.JPG
    GAUGES_ON.PNG

So I created an item in menu.lst as follows

    GAUGES = "GAUGES",GAUGES,Icons\XXX.png

But when I click the item in the skin after assigning to a button ...... Nothing

So I checked the DEBUG and see

    09:08:46.906: Que Exec: True, menu3.skin, "RRMENUITEM;4", False
    09:08:46.910: Executing: RRMENUITEM;4
09:08:46.910: Que Exec: True, menu3.skin, "GAUGES", False
    09:08:46.910: Executing: GAUGES
    09:08:46.922: Command not executed: GAUGES
09:08:46.922: Que Exec: True, menu3.skin, "ONCOMMANDINVALID", False
    09:08:46.922: Executing: ONCOMMANDINVALID

So is there somewhere where the COMMANDs need to be defined ?

If you want to load the gauges skin you need to have a command to load the gauges skin.

    add to exectbl.ini

    "gauges","GAUGES.skin"

In any skin , when I go into the Plugin Manager, I get the list of Plugins but I cannot click on any of the plugins to assign it to a button. It keeps going back to the top button "Clear"

    I'm running on Win 7

You can assign a button in the plugin manager screen !

In Carwings, hold a button and choose into the list what command you want have !

That is exactly what I am trying to do. It highlights the Clear button at the top of the list and I can scroll the list up and down perfectly but basically, I cannot click on anything. When I do, the item flashed by being highlighted and the it goes off again, because it goes back to highlighting the Clear option at the top of the list

in 2 files you must put inside

    exectbl.ini
    ----------------General-------
    .
    .
    "GAUGES","LOAD;Gauges.skin"

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Buttonlist.txt
    at last command

    GAUGES||GAUGES

there is no symbol under path "Icons" fixed
for getting a Gauges symbol in your menu skin you must search in google

    another thing,
if you speak about a "PluginManager", did you mean the button you find inside the "CONFIG" skin ?
if yes, this is not for fixing any menu buttons, this is for handle with Plugins like ""RRGOOGLEMAPS",
    "WEATHER", "RRWEBRADIO" and so on.

if you want a new button, you must include this one into the file "Buttonlist" like the example... post before.
second, you must fix the command what skin you will open with this new button.
this you fix in the "exectbl.ini" like post before.

if you want to change a button in your menu skin, you must push the button you want new, for some seconds.
than it opend a popup skin where you can selec the function you want under this button.

for starting the PlugInManager skin, it needs another commandline in the exectbl.ini

    "GAUGES","LOAD;Gauges.skin"
    "PLUGINMGR","LOAD;Pluginmgr.skin"
