Hi,
I have tried again this cool plugin that is RRGPS2City with a Zip.dat for the France and
what surprise, it run very well !!!
So i give my file if someone need a french data base !
I have just a little issue with some french character that are bad (may my zip.dat file isn't unicode) or is it an plugin issue.
On the arrow, the character is normally île-de-france !
Another little issue, when RR run, a folder GPS2City is build by the plugin but the good folder must to be RRGPS2City.

the folder issue is a non issue...
the plugin is called GPS2City, therefore its USER data is stored in a folder called GPS2City
now the installer installs the CODE and (zips.dat) into Plugins\RRGPS2City
(ideally it should be without the RR, but its a reuse of plugin installer script)
in anycase it doesnt make a difference
something tells me your running in legacy mode...

Yea no chance its unicode complaint being that i made it 3-4 years ago with only the US in mind.

oh, pierrotm77, may i use this skin as a sample skin for this plugin?
and i fixed the installer, it will install into GPS2City
no prefix of RR, while it is a RR plugin, there is prob a missue of the prefix RR
even im guilty at times

I know that GPS2City really was made for USA and i know also that my zip.dat isn't the original , but i found
that gps2city is a cool nice plugin and i wanted to try if with a zip.dat modified it run well and it does very well !
So i had just made a little autoit script that format a file that i have found on the web and all is right !
But it is unfortunate that i have this little text issue .
That would be a cool idea that the RR installer ask if we want to install also GPS2City, WebBrowser, etc...
no it wont be in the rr installer
the rr installer is already too big
the plugin installer im talking about
man, so u still have the text issue? even with your unicode file?
i looked your zips.dat is encoded as UTF8
you need to be clear, from what i read, you fixed the problem with your zips.dat
is that not the case?
