none of that is relevant anymore...
if you want to use pc nav 11/12, just set it up in rrconfig
use this newest RR (12/1/2012) (which may not be out yet)
if you use older one, say 11/1/2012... back up skin.ini... it will be corrupted
I've just switched from Sygic to Mapfactor and can't get embedding to work properly. This is with PC Navigator 12 FREE.
Using RR Config I can set External GPS to Navigator 11 easily. When loaded it will close immediately (you can see the splash screen flash for a second). However, going back to RR main menu and returning to the GPS screen from there SOMETIMES loads Navigator - sometimes not.
I've also tried loading Navigator using my own .skin screen (the one I used for Sygic) but no joy. However, if I load Navigator first, then load RR, I have no problems with the program embedding to the old Sygic screen.
Anyone know what's causing this?
Do I have to edit anything anywhere else, or should it just load through RR if Config was easily set up?
Sorry for the newb question, but I have been scouring the RR forum for last 2 days trying to get things setup before I asked! :help:
I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew. RR definitely more complex than I thought it might be!!
Edit: Note I have the 3/1/14 RR, DFX5 loaded, on Win XP 32-bit MCE
This is my rr.ini file settings for PcNavigator 12.3:
[Navigation - PC Navigator]
RRPCNavigatorPath=C:\Program Files\Navigator12\PC_Navigator\PC_Navigator.exe|--atlas='C:\ProgramData\Navigator\12.3\atlas_pcn_free.idc' --window_border=no --window_position=0,73,800,472
You can also add a short cut by editing the PcNavigator properties:
"C:\Program Files\Navigator12\PC_Navigator\PC_Navigator.exe" --atlas='C:\ProgramData\Navigator\12.3\atlas_pcn_fre e.idc' --window_bord
But that is important is how you have installed the data's PcNavigator !!!!
C:\ProgramData\Navigator\12.3 or your other folder !!!
This is all new to me, and my mind is a blur after reading so many threads and posts and pages for the past few days!
See the skin.ini file into the DF5 folder !!
[Main Menu Button Options]
[Main Menu Master Buttons]
Create a copy before !
If you hold a button, you can choose a program from a list !
Since I had screwed around with some of the .ini and not knowing 100% what I was doing, I uninstalled and reinstalled RR and DFX5, and then without changing any more settings, when I clicked the iGuidance button PC Nav did launch. Now just a matter of getting the sizing fixed, and seeing if I run into any other issues.
I have PC Navigator 12 opening/sizing correctly but it's not closing out. When you select menu/exit, you still have to click on the screen somewhere to get it to finally close. Also, when you exit RR, it still will not close until you click on the window. How is anyone using this getting it to close out?
