good thing about the new sendkeyx, u can use it in SKINTOOL
the old one would try to send keys to skintool itself

so.. on the iguidance_wide.skin, in skintool, "SendKeyx;3" would activate ig and send 3, and keep it active!
(im debating if i want to return focus of its "skintool" just cause i love skintool!)

also few errors in DFX5 skin (looking at wide now)

whats

it should be

B,1,1,95,70,"SENDKEY;{enter}",""

some oddball extra "

lots of clean up

and now should be SENDKEYX

Well I'm basing on him mentioning it didn't work in the iDriveT skin when it used to.

Now I know the iDrive skins don't have activate before the sendkey (although the buttons for other nav engines do) they do have gps in the skin name.


(unless of course he didn't use the config in iDrive to change the Nav to iGuidance)

Indeed everything works now Out of all the possible solutions, i did this one: "add "ACTIVATE;IGuidance||" infront of all those commands' and now all sendkeys work.

Will wait for release of the next RR to do it the right way.

exactly... its the "gps" in the skin name, and when using IG, that RR will target IG
else.. it can go to any active window...

so.. best solution, is the new SendKeyX, cause that will targert the embedded window on the current skin
good for other programs too

No it don't! If you push just the right (sendkey) button it may work ONCE. This may give the impression everything is working but what's happening is that when you press the first button (when in the IG screen), IG loses focus and from then-on no (sendkey) buttons work. It didn't occur to me to click the IG window to return focus to it because YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT BEFORE!

So the buttom line is (based on process of elimination and common sense) is that something in the RR code changed, because the sendkey commands didn't; they (sendkeys) may have been "non-compliant" before but they worked. Something had to change in RR that may now be enforcing the "sendkey" rules or as was mentioned before, embedding is different.

let me guess you are using IGUIDANCE_WIDE.SKIN right?

something is PULLING FOCUS AWAY, could BE ANYTHING!!!!! even RR process

thats because, no "GPS" in the name, so RR doesnt know that this is for IGUIDANCE!!!

just change the name of the skin to, "IGUIDANCE_WIDE_GPS.SKIN"
and try

sendkeys HAS NEVER been changed!
do u see it in the HISTORY?
