    Minimum Hardware Requirement for RR

    Hi Mitch,
With all the development and changes to RR functionality through the years is there a recommended minimum hardware requirement (processor, speed, memory, graphics) to run the latest version efficiently such that video is smooth and music can run in the background while navigation is active ?
    VIA Pico ITX, M2-ATX clone, 7" Seform 800x480 LCD Touchscreen, Dual 2x75WRMS Mini Amps, IDE-CF & SATA-CF adapters, 8GB (Sys) & 32GB (MP3s) CF, ELMscan5USB, Slot-load DVD, Craig Brass DAB+/FM USB module, Odyssey Navigator
    Build 90% Apps 50% Install 10%

I'd like to know this too as I've been out of the carPC game for a while and my old carPC is using an Epia SP13000 motherboard, 1Gb Ram and M2-ATX power supply, also still using a really old version of Road Runner from before July 2007!

Will this machine spec be able to run the new version of Road Runner, or Ride Runner as it is now called, ok?
    Getting back into the game...

depends on what you wanna do. What PNG support/GDI+? You probably be starting with 1ghz, but on carwings with limited plugins and fastmode off you could probably still get by with 800mhz epia board

My Atom single core craps on itself with multiple plugins + DFX5, not much better with Carwings + just a couple plugins, depends on the plugins, maybe, or possibly the planet alignments...
TruckPC - gutted, being used for test setup
BoatPC - All in 1 in cuddy, N7 using VNC on dash, RR
    BlazerPC - Nexus 7 with Timur's USBROM

disable GDI+ in rrconfig and you should see an increase in performance.
