Cant access dynamic menus using capacitive touch panel, any ideas...

So, I've been living with this since I installed a capacitive touch panel over a year ago.
I'm not sure who made the panel but I got it from a board member. He usually has people using it under Win7 (which seems to have drivers) but I'm using XP.
I found XP drivers from Cando which seems to be used by IBM/Lenovo.

Anyway, the panel works great for single clicks in RR. I can also drag an iList around. In XP I can press/hold for a right click so it knows I'm holding it down.
What I cant seem to do is press/hold for dynamic menus or double click a song from a list to play.

Does anyone know how these are done in RR? Is there a timer that counts for a press/hold that could be tweaked.
Why wouldn't it accept a double click in a list?

I'd really like to be able to select stuff in a list first. Dynamic menus I only do once in a while so getting out a mouse isn't a big deal on that.

System is an Intel 510, TinyXP, RR 6/1/12, eLite Wings (it doesn't work in CarWings either)

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    davidk

p.s. I'm not sure what other system specs would be of value. If I'm missing something please let me know.

If your touchpanel drivers are set to recognise touch and hold as right click, then it will send a right click when on the menu and thus not send the touch and hold that RR is wanting for dynamic menus

In other words, the TP drivers are overriding the touch and hold.

As for the double clicks you may need to tweak the timings on double clicks

"Timings on double clicks" You mean in Windows mouse control settings? I'll give it a try.
I've already modified the registry to allow greater movement for recognizing a double click.

I just realized that it's not even recognizing a single click in the list. With the mouse I can single click to highlight a song but not with the touch panel.
Is there any info on how RR implements lists beyond what's in the documentation?

The drivers may be the issue as you pointed out. Unfortunately I don't think I'll find anything else for XP. I know it's a long dead OS but for the car....and I've got everything (except this) working.

No joy adjusting the double click speed.

What does RR use to present the lists. I assume its code from somewhere and not developed specifically for RR?

At a minimum I'd like to get a single click working in lists so I can select songs. I can use a button to then play it.

    Thanks,
    davidk
