RR 09-01-2012 and Navigator11 free

Hi

I'm trying to setup Mapfactor Navigato11 Free to embed in RR.
I use the config program to set Navigator11 as my prefered GPS program.
When I press the GPS button, the external gps screen loads and I can see Navigator11 loading.
For about 2 seconds all seems OK but after that Navigator11 free exits and all I see is the background of the external gps skin.
This happens everytime I press the GPS button.
I forgot to mention the the above happens when I use my custom skin. When I use the default carwings skin then all is OK and navigator11 loads without any problems.
I tried comparing the skin files but I cannot see any differnces that justify this action.

I have attached some files that might help to solve this.

I have managed to fix this by adjusting the size of the window (A) in the skin file. It seem to me that navigator does not like it if the window in the skin file is smaller that the size of the window set in the startup of navigator

we get the size of the window to pass to navigator from the A line

unless your doing something odd, use rrconfig to configure to use PC Navigator 11
nothing else is needed, no complicated exectlb code, or button to load gps

just "GPS" and read the notes, you can make a custom named skin... or it will load external_gps.skin

Yes, I tried it like you mentioned and it works great without and fancy exectlb stuff. The problem is that I'm trying to configure a multi gps program setup. Is there anyway do do this without exectlb ?
One other question, is there anyway to force close Navigator Free when I switch skins using the the "dayskin" and "nightskin" commands ?

well.. for multi gps, there is menu mode (currently not supported in rrconfig)

but you do "GPS" and a menu skin shows... then lets you chose...
i dont know exactly what to do...

you can close the app.. with "CLOSEWINDOW" command, possibly...

There's also a command "CLOSE" which closes the embedded app and exits the screen. The BMV2 skin has an example of the GPS menu which used to be pretty standard back then.

Hi

Try adding a C line at your navigator skin with the same values of the A line

for example:
A,0,120,1280,840,
C,0,120,1280,840,

I seem to have some problems with closing navigator 11 free when switching skins.
When I press the button to switch to the day or night skin, navigator tries to close but there is a nag screen that has to be tapped to make navigator close completely.
Then the new skin is shown and when the gps button is pressed, instead of loading navigator, the nag screen is shown. If you tap on the nag screen then the previous instance of navigator closes and all that is shown in the gps screen is the background.
Is there anyway to go around this ?

You would need to to add commands to send the correct key sequence to close that nag screen on your button for switching day/night.

The commands would probably involve activate <window name of nag screen> and the correct sendkey sequence.

Or you could just kill the task and not worry about the dam nag screen, idk though if that gps program will have any issues doing that way.

One way:

In the rr exectbl.ini use:
"ONSKINEND", "RUN;tskill.exe|<gps.exe>"

And that will run any time you switch skins as a global event
