Can you please detail what all hardware and software is required to make this all work?

I recently purchased a Parrot 3200 LS Color. My android phone talks to it. I'm imagining that the parrot handles the incoming and outgoing audio. Are you saying that if I get this app (is the app needed? Or just Callcenter?) and use a secondary BT connection between my phone and the PC, that by using the PI that El Camino is writing, that the PC will control the phone as far as dialing and answering calls? Obviously I'll need a BT dongle for the PC.

So correct me if I'm wrong.

    Hardware:
Cell Phone (Does it have to be Android?)
Parrot or EZ Go or similar.
    CarPC
    Bluetooth Dongle

    Software:
    RR
    App for phone
    Callcenter
    New PI
    BroadComm or microsoft drivers

Please clarify the requirements for this to work.

    hardware:
    Phone MUST be android.
handsfree kit any, i have a parrot ck3100 which is a lower model than yours.
bluetooth dongle, any compatible with microsoft or widcomm stack. im using a cheap one with microsoft stack.

    software:
    CallCenter installed.
    .net 4

the way it works is, the pi talks to the android phone, you get, phonebook, call log, phone controls, sms send and recieve. here's the SkinCMD.txt.

As ElCamino explained. You can download Remote phone Call trial from GooglePlay and install in your phone. Then the phone application will guide you to the link to download CallCenter to your PC (the old version - waiting for the new one to be released in 1-2 weeks time). You can test by wifi or bluetooth.

The licenced version costs 4.5 Euro. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...G9uZVRyaWFsIl0.

    Give it a try.

Did I get this right? Accepting and dialing calls works through the PC with this?
And Android phones can be connected to a bluetooth headset and the PC at the same time?

I've been concidering adding phone function to my carpc for some time now. This looks interesting...

Let me see if I understand this. With this meathod, you use microsoft or widcomm and NOT bluesoiel???

Add a bluetooth dongle to the carpc. Any bluetooth dongle will work.

Add CallCenter and .net 4 software to pc.

Add the remote phone call app to the android phone.

Can this meathod be used within the RR frontend? I use the BMV2 skin. It has a built in phone control. I have never used it but it would be nice if I could get this embeded into the skin.

So If you receive a call, does it mute the music or drop the volume down to a presset level?

Do you really need a handsfree kit? It seems like a pc mic and the car speakers would be a better option.
I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet .

That clears things up. Thank you...

So without skin support, a separate window will pop up on the screen when a call comes in correct? This is how it seems to be working on my desktop pc.

If you want to make a call, I am assuming you would need to minimize RR to open the call center?

I don't have a parrot yet but it looks like they have a green and a red button. I can assume these are for accept/end calls. If you were to receive a call, the call center software has an accept/ignore option. Would you be able to accept an incoming call by the touch screen on the pc or would you need to press the button on the parrot?
