So without skin support, a separate window will pop up on the screen when a call comes in correct? This is how it seems to be working on my desktop pc.

If you want to make a call, I am assuming you would need to minimize RR to open the call center?

I don't have a parrot yet but it looks like they have a green and a red button. I can assume these are for accept/end calls. If you were to receive a call, the call center software has an accept/ignore option. Would you be able to accept an incoming call by the touch screen on the pc or would you need to press the button on the parrot?
there is a test skin with the pi, its carwings, , this i think can be added to any skin out there now , just needs to be merged in your current skin ,, which i can not help you with , i have been out of rr for a very long time now , and alot has changed , so i'm well out of the picture there , im only here to support this pi only ,,

the pi dose everything you want from the phone , except pass audio via pc , that is the only thing we can not do, . the pi will allow you to accept , call, rec sms , list your contacts list your sms log , your call log ...

all you need to do is install the pi, merge the test skin with yours, set up call center on phone and pc, make sure callcenter is paired , before running rr..

    job done

Is there any way to have rr make some type of noise such as a beep or ringing sound when a call comes in with this setup?

Into your exectbl.ini file, you can replace:
    Code:
    "*ONRRDROID_RINGING","MENU;rrdroid_incoming.skin"
    by
    Code:
    "*ONRRDROID_RINGING","MENU;rrdroid_incoming.skin||PlaySound;$PLUGINSPATH$RRDroid\Ringtones\default.mp3"

Since the pi works with a handsfree, you can also hear the phone ringing through the handsfree (e.g. EGO FLASH, Parrot, etc), at the same time the window popup will come on your screen telling you who is calling and you can answer (or reject) the call with the accept or reject button. The handsfree can also autoanswer the call (I have set mine to do that after 3 rings) so you do nothing else than just answer the call the usual way and what is most important the handsfree will mute the sound (be it radio, CD, aux or whatever) and its noise cancelling microphone will ensure a clear crisp conversation. A microphone connected to the PC usually results in echo and a separate noise cancelling microphone is pretty expensive and thus perhaps comparable to the handsfree kit which can still answer your calls even if your PC is not working.

I have tried to include many of the pi commands in the BMW36 skin I am using, it is by no means complete. I will try to post the skin in the RRdroid plugin section.

Well I am not having much luck with this. I can get it working on my desktop pc running windows 7. However, I can't get my carpc running xp to recognize the bluetooth dongle. I have a belkin and another without any name and neither seem to work. The pc recognizes new hardware but fails to install. I tried to install the belkin driver for my bt and it seems to work. But when I go into call center, it can't find the dongle.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Where might I find windows or widcomm stack that will work with xp?

Perhaps do a google search to make sure your bluetooth dongle is running on Widcomm or microsoft drivers otherwise callcenter wil not work. have a feeling Belkin will do so.

Well I finaly paired the phone and carpc. It is pretty cool. I would like to try the skin if that is availbe for testing...
I did a few test calls and it seems to work. However, every few minutes I get a "license error (69)" on my car pc. When this happens, the call center on the carpc screen shows that it is disconnected in red letters. If I click on it, it reconnects and turns green again. It'll work again for a few minutes and then I get the error again.

The other issue that I am having is that the phone and pc won't automaticaly connect when I turn the pc on. I have to minimize RR, open call center, and connect. I believe this might be do to putting my car to sleep instead of shutting down when I turn my car off.

Look in the RR plugins in progress (RRDroiD) to test the skin.

Duncanator24 look in googleplay for "remote phone call trial", once installed on your phone it will then install callcenter in your PC to test
