that would be true, on old versions of RR
since a long time ago, RR will keep the last known position
debug.txt tells all!!
I was having a lot of issues with my pc so I decided it was time for a fresh install. Since I was pulling everything out, I purchased a new SSD to replace my old hard drive and give me more storage.
I have everything installed and working. Mostly...
The one thing that is frustrating me is my music doesn't start playing like it did before when I start my car. I have RR set to auto launch and the last song I listened to before shutting down is highlighted. It just doesn't remember where I left off on that song and doesn't automatically start playing the song.
I run xp with no custom boot or shutdown. I have my pc set to shut down, not hibernate. I have resume set to always in RR config.
I think what may be happening is winamp gets shut off before RR. Then when RR closes, it can't right the track position. I don't know if this is the case or not. Any thoughts on this? Is there anyway to reorder the order xp shuts down programs?
Thanks in advance...

you need to update your version of RR , you have a 2007 version
it says so at the start of your debug
4/16/2013 7:44:22 AM: Start -- Version: 12/13/2007
View my worklog here
for sure I would update to a new version of RR, 2007 is really old... but back then for sure, if winamp closed 1st, rr wouldn't know where to resume
you can look at resume.ini , after you start back up, but don't let RR auto start, so you can see resume.ini
all that is fixed in newer RR, rr will keep track of last known position, even if winamp closed 1st

Well I updated my RR to the new version. I still cant get it to remember the track/position. Now, after rebooting the pc, it starts at the begining of my playlist but doesn't actualy start to play the song. I have to press play on the skin.
I have tried shutting off the car, rebooting from the RR exit screen, and shutting down/rebooting from the windows start button. No matter which way I do it, it will not remember my position.
I don't know if it makes a difference but I have RR on one partition(D), and windows and winamp on another(C).
I changed the setting for RR shut down winamp on exit tried on selected and unselected.
I tried the resume option both always and start/hibernation.
I don't know if it makes a difference, but I didn't remove the old 2007 RR. I left that installed for now because I cant get the new version to run my iguidance or indicators yet. I haven't played around with it until I get the resume music figured out.
Any ideas?

old rr and new rr WILL NOT RUN SIDE BY SIDE!
re run the new installer, to fix up com registration
then test with carwings...
for it to resume when you start rr, resumemusic=1 or 2 in rr.ini
also make sure your skin or anything your doing doesn't kill the winamp process
-Thanks
