    RR not shuting down corectly

    Hi everyone, This is my first post here. I am having a problem with RR not restarting on my carpc. I have win 7 on an Zotac MB with an I3. I had it working, then I updated RR and then when I run RRconfig and save and start RR it comes up, but when I try it again it tries to start then does nothing. To get it to restart I have to reboot, then it works once again. I have RR loaded on my laptop with win 7 and have no problems. when I compared the debug text of the two computers the last 6 lines are missing from my carpc. These lines are:

    19:12:09.547: Shutdown: (5)
    19:12:09.555: Shutdown: (6)
    19:12:09.563: Shutdown: (7)
    19:12:09.578: OSUnloadMode: 1
    19:12:09.586: Global Hotkey: All keys unregistered
    19:12:09.594: Shutdown

    If someone could lead me in the right direction I would appreciate it alot.

    I am running the newest RR - 5-1 on both computers. Im hoping to get this running I really like RR over CF.
    Thanks to all in advance.

    going to need more info, I don't actually follow your issue...
    if you attach any debug.txt, do it as attachment...

    I don't know what "when I try it again it tries to start then does nothing" really means...

    run RR, exit RR, check task manager, did it really exit?
    -Thanks

    debug.txtThanks Mitch for responding.Let me try again. when I start RR config and goto "Save & Restart RR" RR comes up fine. If I exit RR and click on "Save & Restart RR" again RR doesn't start up. I checked task manager and RR is not there after exiting RR. Attached is the debug text after I exit RR. The Lines I posted in my last post are from my laptop that RR is working on. These are the lines that are missing from my carpc. If you need anything else let me know. By the way I have windows 7 Pro on both computers if it make a difference. Are you the one that wrote RR? Again thanks for the help.

    I notice winamp says not running at time time of the shutdown...why?

    set in rr.ini RRAudPlayerDebug=True
    so we get more details

    between step 4 and 5, is shutdowns of embedded apps...
    and audio player...
    I suspect that's your issue

    I didn't write RR, I did write and fixup a lot of RR, but there are many people who help...

    Sorry about the delay in replying back. As for winamp not running, I didnt have it loaded. I loaded winamp and the same thing happens. I set RRAudPlayerDebug=True and ran RR . Here is the debug.txt from that run.

    debug.txt

    The odd part is it works on my laptop without winamp installed.

    I really appreciate the help.

    well, I cant tell what your problem is, YOU will have to solve it, as it in unique to you only...

    I don't know what you mean by winamp not loaded, but the log shows it started...

    20:38:33.547: Winamp AudPlayer---> winamp.exe started: v20579

    I can tell you the next step, is rr closes all embedded windows (if set to close)
    I assume none are running, since you didn't do much...
    followed by close of winamp....

    maybe switch the player setting to say Windows Media player...and try
    -Thanks

    hey, im going to guess... this is AUDIO SYSTEM RELATED!!!!

    you have no audio system detected by RR...

    20:38:33.578: Start Sequence: Starting Mixer...
    20:38:33.625: VMC---> Set object successful
    20:38:33.625: VMC---> SourceLine Count: 0

    why? what is your sound system? did you install mfg drivers???
    are you doing anything with SPDIF out?
    *have seen applications hang that find windows with oddball audio systems(bug in windows)
