ok thanks anyway. then if there is no way to solve this problem, it will be the right time to spend with each other.
thanks again, but RR has still several things that do not work.
will be a beta for a lifetime

its not beta... and CDA isn't a "file" type that RR claims to support
no one single program does everything, like Tidder suggested, try another media player...
I still have no idea how you get a cda file in the 1st place, without putting in a redbook audio cd
which is something I don't even have...well I do, they just put away in attic after I ripped them to all mp3 and put on hard drive
    -Thanks

Audio players that sound good as foobar does not exist many. Wmp sounds terrible. in addition to not being able to select the ASIO driver of my sound card. cm then WMP does not even display the artist name and song title, it displays "Track. cda" RR unfortunately still has a lot of things that do not work for myself that this seems to be a beta for a lifetime. I personally have clearly u mp3 songs on my hard drive but it is unthinkable that if I have an original CD I can not listen to it because RR did not support.

Sounds like you should give Centrafuse a try if your not getting your money's worth out of RR...

Centrafuse is not even good .. does not choose the audio player that you want to use, so in my case I discarded a priori from the outset.

ASIO is pretty important, I agree. Sounds like you should upgrade and get away from Windows XP. The audio engine in Windows 7 sounds much MUCH better than XPs. I don't think you'd even need ASIO if you upgraded.

It's not unthinkable to have troubles playing a CD. The whole reason most of us are here is to get away from that. Just because Foobar's API doesn't expose a good way to implement CD track playback doesn't mean RR is broken. Perhaps you should email one of the Foobar developers and ask them to fix it.

This is like saying that because diesel doesn't work in your car, your car must still be in beta. With the right engine you can run diesel.

    Try RevFE
The best resurrected frontend I've ever used, period.

so what should I ask him if Foobar without RR quietly reads the CDA?
that RR is in beta for me because apart from this there are other things never reported prior resolved .. the plugin to integrate foobar in RR by whom it was done?
I think the problem is in there.

i wrote the code to interface RR to foo...
(at this point, I have no immediate plans to look how cda is handled, I do know people play CDs all the time with RR (prob using winamp))
    -Thanks

Mitcjs I'm not in a hurry to get the solution immediately, but I would like to know if you're going to try to fix this problem or not.
Winamp has become too heavy to run on a PC. chose foobar own for lightness. then read the file with winamp secure CDA. but the titles reads them?

    I don't think I can fix anything

foobar uses a plugin foo_cdda to play cd's
    so its handled there
all i do is use the API's playlist manager, and feed it files...
if it doesn't work... then it doesn't work
    -Thanks
