    I am also only using REMedia Car on my desktop for testing.
    It's the cake having/eating thing.

    Yeah, COMSend sends a message in the correct format to my application through the sendmessage event. COMReceive processes the incomming communication messages through sendmessage API. There's no serial port association..

    The interface is fairly simple:
    sendmessage HWND, 0x4A, 0, CBSPointer

    HWND is my window handle (use findwindow("", "RemediaCar")).

    CBSPointer is a pointer to this structure:

    Type COPYDATASTRUCT
    dwData As Long 'Type of Data (use 1 for now)
    cbData As Long 'Data Size (Lenght of text command)
    lpData As Long 'Pointer to Text command "AUDIO" or "UP" etc no quotation marks
    End Type

    I don't know if I can make this any simpler... I could probably do some fancy pointer work (in VB) to let you simply pass the pointer to a null terminated string (If this is too complicated).

      SendMessage(Form1.Handle, MY_MESSAGE, 0, DWORD(PChar(txt)));
    end;

    end.
    That's my code. Send messages to "WM_USER + 442;". Make sure to tell me what you are sending (just send 1 command when the user clicks). I'll take care of the rest
    This is for the Gamma control right ? I'll probably just send the word "GAMMA" in capital letters like that.

    If you've ever used FrodoPlayer, the playlist selection (and deselection) is excellent. And it has the ability to save playlists for future use (with auto file-naming if you wish). Something similar to that would be great. I often add and remove things (whole albums and individual songs, etc) from my playlist, so having to clear the whole thing every time I want to make a minor change would be somewhat inconvenient, not to mention hard to do while at a stop light.

    Here's another nod for that option.

    Great work so far!
    The Big Plus adds folder items recursively, the +1 adds the currently selected folder ONLY. I've added the Clear List option, but have to check on the Check mark adition.. the >] goes into the subfolder dude, much like double clicking it or hitting "browse"...

    I'm looking at that.. changed it a bit already... not so sure what you meant though... this is how it's supposed to work:

    Push Play on same song selected on playlist=pause
    push play again after pausing=continue playing

    push play on different song selection=play selected song

    if that doesn't work for you let me know.

    This is all posted in the Readme.txt (comes with the software). but it is a growing list of settings yet.. :/ so maybe we should wait a bit more...

    Does the skin load? when do you get this error exactly (pushing play, Music or what) ? I'd check settings (i.e. winamp path and such) -- check the readme.txt file for details.

    On the VIDEO, have you checked your videopath setting ?

    Also, Have you tried NOT using the winamp that comes with mediacar (it's got plenty of weird settings on it). I'd strongly suggest unziping the binaries onto a separate folder and set the winamp and mpc paths to the appropriate locations, hopefully NOT mediacar's...

    Can you provide me with the Videos.m3u file at the location displayed in the screen shot you showed me (c:\program\mediacar\videos.m3u)? Thanks
