I had a few issues trying to figure out the resizing method for fonts when the original size of the skin is not used. For now, I believe I do not resize the fonts. I have played quite a bit with the Alpine skin to make it look better so if you got the alpine updatefrom my page you may want to tune it to yourself. If you have not got it, then that might be the problem too... Mostly, the only differences in the alpine skin are the "Mute" indicators that actually work in the Audio/Video Player of my version and NOT in MediaCar.

If the definitions in the skin file are correct, you might want to send me a screenshot so I can see what you mean. I assume you do have the correct font

Which app? No source for either though. Just add sendmessage and have a demo program with source. Even though I don't have VB, I know how to read the code and I will add that support into GammaControl and into NaviVoice

Notice how the font in the list looks bold. I did get your skin update and every thing is the same font size, so it should all look the same.



There are a few other things that I noticed.

Date format: Is there a way to change it to mm/dd/yyyy?

Album info: Did you mean to leave it out? Its the text file that scrolls under the album art.

Play List gets out of sync with the current track. You can see this it the screen shot. If I let it play through one song and move to the next on its own they get out of sync. However if you hit the next button they stay in sync.

Pause: A few times when I paused a song then I click play again it would change songs.

Things I wish could be added:

Custom Icons: Move the Icons into the skin folder, so that we can make custom icons to match our skins.

Progress Bar: That amber bar between the play list and playing window (its also in the video player) was placed there to be just that, but Coyote vanished.

That's all I see right now and I do realize that this is not the finished program, I just thought I would mention it early.

I fixed a few bugs here and there...

Also I failed to mention this:
The GPS Menu is available by setting the gpsmode=3 in the INI
(0=Destinator, 1=Mappoint [N/A], 2=External [N/A]).

The Exit Menu is available by setting exitmode=4 in the INI
(0=exit, 1=Hibernate, 2=restart, 3=shutdown, 4=menu).

At last, I added a "SDK" into the software to allow external applications to control ALL functions of the software using the sendmessage API. I included an example in the source code (expect bugs). Any command used in the skins is available through this interface (i.e. up, down, play, next, etc.)

Haha, no worries... here's some answers..

I had done the default BOLD on the lists for testing, I forgot to take it out -- [FIXED but not yet on downloads]

Album Info: I have NO IDEA what's that supposed to be like, I mean -- is it just any text file in the directory ? just never used this function but should be very easy to add.

Play List gets out of sync: I did this on purpose, I hated to "loose" my scroll position in mediacar when the song changed while I was browsing -- I can make this into an option.

Pause: It should only change songs IF you scroll through the list while paused. (will look into it if you think this is a problem)

The Custom Icons idea is already there, I just needed to change it so it is loaded from the Skins folder instead of RemediaCar's path (I did it there for testing back then) -- [DONE but not yet on downloads] -- If the files Folder.ico|gif and/or Media.ico|gif exist in the skin directory it will be loaded to replace default icons.

The Progress Bar was definitely thought of as well, just haven't got into doing it just yet, but if you define any slide bar in that screen it will show and work! I just have to add a slide bar function to control song position. Since messing with the skins is not my thing to do I just left it "behind"...

Could you tell us were to buy them and if they are already supported??

Is there any Chance to get a real copy of the Metal Skin? I mean without the new bar.
It is a little bit difficult to touch.
