I'm just waiting to see what all will change so that I may only have to do this once. Once guino slows down, I'll get it done. He also has made it so flexable now that I'm thinking about adding a couple of buttons in the audio player, GPS and to balance things one or two more. That button above GPS is to big I'll either shorten it or make two out of it. Any ideas what should go there?

Does anyone fancy doing a skin a little like centrafuse, with the buttons down the side, track at top and buttons at bottoms in all windows?

Seeing as it's too slow to use for most of us... It would be rather good if we could have a similar skin to use the intuitive UI features in RoadRunner!!!!

Yeah was looking at CF but it's WAY too slow at the mo (though is good!)

Plus this is open source so I could have a crack at adding the features I want myself if it can't be skinned.

DOes anyone like the basic Centrafuse UI and know if it could be done in this?

Yeah I think removing the central menu is the way to go.. having buttons like MP3, Divx, GPS, Radio, Apps all down say the left hand side is a great idea.. maybe volume up/down & mute on the right.. track details at the top.. time.date.temp at the bottom, and window box in the middle which alters depending what module your in.

    thats just my idea anyway

hehe, you know what =) itīs technically possible to almost copy the whole interface thanks to the ability to add anything ontop of anything =)

Yeah CDR I agree... I think a menu should stay just for all the other functions but with Web access apps around, OBDII apps around it would be nice to skin in links to External App1, External App2 etc and then add you're own graphic in for the specific app.

I reckon keeping the mediacar compatibility but having this kind of skinnability would be soooo cool

You are saying it IS possible to make a v.v.v.v. similar interface to centrafuse in road runner?

Sure, since I started to code RR, the main idea has always been to be able to place anything you'd like in any screen you'd like and also, be able to make as many screens you'd like. There are certain special function screens (video, launch, radio, tv) but it has to do with the unique handling needed for those screens, but you still can place whatever you want in them. Some things definitely may have bugs (cause I have no skin to try it), but it's all a matter of getting it tweaked out
