I have gone into the winzip plugin and made the necessary changes. I have scanned and picked up a host of channels which i have saved under c:\TV. I dont know where the magic happens but i can not get the TV to work. As a matter of fact,I dont even see a TV button anywhere. I am assuming the TV is launched under the "Radio" tab but its not trivial. I am not running the FM section and do not have any intent to.I just want the basic TV function to work via Road Runner. Any suggestions?
Read the TV Faq... in any case, I'd download the Full brushmetal skin from my site, then download the update on topo of it.. you should see the "TV" button in the main menu then... once that's there and the settings in RRConfig are set, you should be able to view the TV channels you setup -- as long as it worked in the TV plugin.. if by any means you have the updated brushmetal skin and you don't see the TV button, type in (keyboard): "TV" (including quotes) while the main menu is on, and it should bring the TV .. if not, you definitely don't have the skins needed..

Thanks for the heads up! Your idea worked...as expected! Thanks again. I went to your site and downloaded the BrushMetalBlue.zip and installed the BrushMetalUpdate on top of that and sure enough, the TV icon appeared! However, driving a 350z, a spinning honda emblem doesnt look to styling. How do i change that to a "z". Actually it doesnt even have to be spinning. Here's a site with all the different emblems: http://febsperanza.3plast.com/ under media car skins > brands.
    Thanks!

Just wanted to let you know I think i figured it out..I found Ildena's posts and downloaded a nissan.swf file. Then i put that in the brushmetal skin folder and changed its name to logo.swf. Before i knew it,i had a spinning nissan. I still would rather have a stationaty "Z" so I have some more playing to do. Just didnt want to waste your time on something i figured out.....Thanks again for the heads up!

    AverTV sound Problem

-Go in RRconfig and set the location of your TV presets, when RR starts the TV, it will load them up as channels and show you the TV feed.
Guino I'm trying out an AverMedia AverTV USB2.0 PLUS, which is a TV only external USB device. I've got the device running OK on it's own software. When I run your recommended TV plugin to Winamp through RR I have presets running sucessfully, but can't get any sound. It uses the WAV device when running on it's own software. Can you help ?

I've not really considered TV before but I have a WinTV Theater PCI card which has built-in FM tuner. Anyone know if this is likely to work?

    Googled technical crap enclosed...

    Chips: bt878a, msp3410d-b4, dpl3518a-a2, hef4052bt, 24wc02, pic16c54, tda1308
Connectors: FM, TV, Audio out (8pol), DTV/SVid (7pol), Line In, IR
The Audio out needs a special fanout cable ("A/V Kabel") with these connectors:
3,5mm Klinke (Stereo Line out), yellow cinch (Composite Video In); black cinch (Center out), white cinch (surround 1), red cinch (surround 2)
    pcb: 370000-03 (c) 1999
Note: onboard connectors: "P1" is Line-Out (not documented in manual, though.)

Audiopath for P1: same as 61334

Go into the TV Plugin's Audio Tab and try to choose that audio device of your card to see if the sound starts with it.. otherwise, you may have to hook a line in cable onto it..

    Did that....as per pic.
This device doesn't have a line out. It only has USB and A/V in.

It is hard to tell.. for the TV Tuners, the requirements (to be sure it will work) are:

-WDM Interface support (Most cards do)
-Line OUT output so you can PHYSICALLY connect the audio to your sound card

Antenna is really up to you.. I have no TV in the car, so I woudn't know.. in fact, I don't know of many people who have TV antennas in their cars...
