This device doesn't have a line out. It only has USB and A/V in.

In that Mixer Line setting, did you try looking for a TV Audio line or something like that ? if the Tuner added a sounds device to your system, it should be listed in there... and you should be able to have the plugin or RR unmute it when usint the TV..

Unfortunately it hasn't added another sound device. I've not bothered with another pic because the list consists of no more than is in the volume control properties on the task bar.
As explained earlier, when the tuner is running in it's native software I get both picture and sound (albeit out of sync somewhat, probably a CPU power issue) and the sound mutes if I mute the WAV in volume control in the taskbar.
I think I may have to give up on this one and accept there might be an incompatibility issue with this device, although I notice another model from Aver works fine.
    Any more suggestions are welcome.

not yet.. try going on Winamp's TV plugin, load a/some preset(s) onto the playlist and start the TV (outside RR that is).. then while the tv is on (without sound), try going into the sound recorder from windows and try to record something.. you may want to play around with the mixer's RECORDING settings to see if you're able to record the TV audio by any chance.. if it works with some setting, then it may be possible to pull up the sound for your tv...

It'd be weird that a TV card would have WDM interface but no way of pulling up the audio without using the manufacturer's application..

It's a open source MediaCar front-end clone.. there are many FAQs you can read on the RR FAQ sub-forum..
