You probably have "weird" or "different" regional settings that the "Arial Narrow" font does not support. So with the introduction of internationalization, the system (windows) "selects" which font will actually be able to display your characters..

If you wish to display your "foreign" characters correctly, you should adjust your Skin to allow enough space for them to display with the system font.

OR, you can go in Control Panel under Regional Settings and select the "Standards and Format" language into "English (United States)" and run RR again. you'll see all fonts in the correct size but will get weird characters when trying to display your foreign fonts (if any).

I may add a setting to select the Current Font Set (to prevent wrong size fonts from displaying).

The problem is, MM can only run one copy of itself.. if you were for instance running it in RR (old version), then you updated it, and re-run RR, you'd probably get that.. Please restart your machine and re-test it.. if anything, please make sure you have 2-20 version (by re-downloading it).

This is what this version does: First time going into GPS will run MM no matter what (so if you have it open already it will cause errors).
Then after that, if you leave RR, MM will close. If you use the Close button in RR, MM will close and re-entering the GPS screen will re-load MM. I have even added code to close the GPS screen when using the "EXIT" button in MM, but apperantely this works only on some machines (I assume it's a bug with MM's SDK).

In any case, as long as MM is not running before you run RR, it should work.

The redish problem has been fixed in 2-20, along with the gammacontrol loading problem.. if you're getting that, you probably don't have 2-20 OR you have the Redish Gamma (and GammaControl) from running the buggy RR previously.. I'd suggest to restart your machine nad make sure you have 2-20. The redish Gamma should NOT happen Unless your Gamma settings (on your skin's General.ini file) are set to a redish gamma.

I'm having some serious issue with video playback all together though (not with just this release). When I select the video button I see the player start up screen and I struggle to get the control panel at the bottom to show up. When I get the panel to show up I then select a movie. The movie will start but I can't see it, I can hear the sound but I still see the video player start up screen.. When I finally manage to escape out of RR the video is now visible. It's like it does not get focus until I leave RR.

Any idea?

Do you have any videos at all on your "Videopath" folder ? I'd suggest to put one ther at least, then delete your videos.m3u file and re-run. Select whatever videos to play and see if it works. After that, you can delete/move your video file(s) from the videopath folder. It will start using your last playlist from then on..

No, is the same version. In the screenshot you seen, i'm using the latest update of Brushed Metal Skin (downloadable from the guino's web site), and i've disabled the upper bar of MapMonkey (pressing the "i" button).

but I clearly see the ETA in the lower bar in your screenshot?!? Is that in the Brushed metal skin than? How does this work, does it pick the data from MM?

my region is set to english.... and so is the keyboard...
i just checked with all other version's of RR
it's a new thing that started in the 20-02 version

all fonts is set to a font called "SF Chaerilidae" and it displays fine in all
other RR version's

so the prob must be in the new RR Internationalization system
not on my system

besides "SF Chaerilidae" only displays std. english signs and letters so there should be no problem at all
