Haha... there are two projects in this thread.. Anyway, one is a Temperature sensor for up to 4 Sensors -- I have 2 sensors installed to measure temperature inside and outside the car (I could definitely use the two other to measure engine and exhaust temperature -- if I wanted to). This first project is available for ordering around the world.

The second project is a voltimeter to measure the power level of your Battery. This project was developed by Mauri, and he is going to post information on building the unit for whoever wants to.

    hmmm ok! got it now!

this is what threw me off
so the data don't lose him memorized in the RAM memory of the GPS, it resolves the problem that immediately starting the PC the infos is had on the position) and the reader of temperature with for DS18B20 instead of the kit to be purchased, perfectly compatible with RR, everything built home made.

    Tonight tested my voltmeter.
EDIT: the second function to my hardware its to resolved the problem by GPS receiver.
Every receiver GPS with incorporated spar has tor inside particularar component called " condenser Supercap " that has the function to also feed the small memory RAM to inside when the principal feeding and absent, practically ago from backup battery instead of using a mini standard battery.
This because the last data received by the GPS are memorized in the RAM memory, so to the reboot the GPS has suffered the data to work without making a new search of the satellites, that usually employs around 40 seconds.
After 5 hours around the supercap he unloads, the GPS loses the data in memory, and so it employs to the reboot the 40 seconds.
With my hardware this doesn't happen, every 57 minutes power the GPS for the time of 3 minutes, extinguishes then, in continuous loop, thin to that it doesn't ignite the GPS with the 5 Volts.
In this way the Supercap is reloaded every 57 minutes,in this time, (3 minutes), it is reloaded, and is ready are had in memory the data received by the GPS.
I hope that someone has understood....
However this and an optional, if don't want this function, the voltmeter works equally...
Tests with RR I will publish the material with "README.txt" to make.

Ok Guino, tested my Voltmeter with RR and work correctly
Use for test simple the main menu skin by brushmetal.
    See the screenshot.
The range if read the volt perfect is 8,5 to 15,5V (to car use is ok,this was my idea to i begin of my project).
Tested in my laboratoryand PC home, but in the car is the same i think.
This weekend if i make time put on my car for test, then i see if all ok
when all and perfect, I put in download mine plans.

EDIT: my reader of temperatures and already all ok ( is the same of kit , but you have make home made)

The DS18B20 sensor work in the range of temperatures from -55°C to
    +125°C (-67°F to +257°F)
    0.5C accuracy from -10°C to +85°C
For measures in water or liquids to always ISOLATE, remember

THANKS Guino for you good work

This sounds like a very interesting project to undertake. How hard would it be to adapt one of the temps to my engines temp sending unit? How about oil pressure? I don't have ODBII so this would be something I would be interested in.

well, the temp kit can work for your engine temp, as long as it is under +125C.. for the oil pressure, you'd have to find a sensor and adapt it to one of the projects above OR build an entirely new circuit.

Yes,exists the sensor for read the pressure, but not directly compatible to I2Cbus, i you have make one new adapt circuit and conversion the Analogic dato to Digital , with uProcessor, and send the data to COM port.
Type my voltmeter project....but total new projetc

Is there any details about the temp sensor for RR... As to how to build one ...?

Mmh, I think I can buy those components at an electronic shop but... If I buy a brand new PIC I have to program it, right? Where can I find the file to program it?

    Tnx in advance!
