    mplayerc

    I know nothin' about C++.
    Can someone make a button for the video player to change the SpeakerToChannelMapping as a cycle. I need it for mpeg file w/ different mono language track on left and right channel.

    no.1
    left 1
    right 2

    no.2
    left 1
    right 1

    no.3
    left 2
    right 2

    If you look at options > audio switcher, you should get a better idea.

    Thanks

    I'm afraid there's no direct control possible to allow for this to be "switched" other than in that options panel itself.. I doubt any other player has direct (or configurable) shortcuts for performing this as well. Your best bet is seriously "fixing" the audio of those mpegs using something like virtuadub, tmpeg2enc etc...

    Well, there's nothing really on there allow cusom audio switches (the mplayerc options are for cycling through DVD/Video audio tracks only)... Now, it's definitely possible to add that IF you (or anybody else) is willing to take on the source files of MPC and add a shortcut to say "cycling" through the speaker settings.

    Have you by any chance tried the built-in player to see if it doesn't play your music videos correctly ? cause since it's windows managed, it just might work..

    The problem is there is no command or button to change it to play mono left, mono right or both(stero) like in WMP9/10 or mplayer2.exe.

    with WMP9/10 I'd be complaining about speed.. with mplayer2 I'd be complainign about no aspect-ratio enforcing features, so really there's no way to have everything all at once... the best thing is to simple convert your files/movies and don't have to worry as how to play them -- which is the same reason I still only use MP3s: my mp3 player supports WMA and OGG, carputer supports everything, but then just to prevent the hassle from copying the file somehwere else or to someone else and having to figure out what to do/install to get it to play, I rather stick with MP3s...

    I would have thought WMP would get faster with each release. What's slow about it? It ends up using the same decoding codecs and rendering technology as all the rest when it comes to DVDs. Hence I would have assumed they'd all be much of a likeness where speed and quality are concerned.
