OSK and iguidance

hey guino,

do you think that you would be able to make the osk work with iguidance embedded in rr? right now the osk works only with the main window of iguidance, but the place where you enter your destination is a separate pop up window. when i press the arrow keys on the osk, they affect the main window but none of the key presses get passed to the "enter destination" pop up window which was the last active window.

For now the appplication OSK only works with the main application window that is embbeded. I'll try to expand this later, but can't guarantee it will work.

Why do you need an OSK for iGuidance in the first place??? That program provides you the OSK whenever its necessary along with the dialogs. there should be no need for a third party osk.

i really like iguidance except for the small buttons. to use the provided osk, you really need a stylus and a really smooth road. if there were a way to use rr's osk with it, it would make it much more useable without a keyboard.

hate to revive a dead thread, but how on Gods earth does everyone here (iguidance users that is) use that tiny little OSK ?

used skinbedder, works nice an all but is there an alternative to that OSK ?

I really wish there was a way to use RRs OSK with it.

from the above post it seems like people were able to bring out the RR osk but it only affects the main window (cannot send keys to the Iguidance' built in stupid OSK). I cant even bring that about ... what do you press ?

before the flamin' starts - ive been reading and searching for the last two days and just cant find a proper solution, not even at gpspassion.com

what do you guys do ?

Who says people are using the IG OSK?

I use a keyboard. Alot easier to hit the keys then the small OSK.

Hopefully skinbedder will corect that issue.

RR's OSK should work with any window on focus (of the embbeded application)... you just need to execute the "APPOSK" command while the window you want to use the OSK with is visible and on-focus.. Take a look at the Launch screen for instance.. you can setup Iguidance to run as an external application and see if the OSK works with it -- it's the easiest way to try it..
