I am not sure, but it is possible that the radiator plugin doesn't support that feature in your card if it is older by any chance.. What exactly happens when you try to seek/scan in Radiator ? does it just move a notch in frequency or it keeps scanning forever ? I know for a fact that if you have poor reception the seek just loops forever in radiator with some cards ..

I'm having problem with my wintv usb aswell. which driver is the correct one (DS FM or the 8x8wdmfm)? I tried using the DS FM but it keeps crashing. I am able to get it to work with radiator but as soon as I load it in RR the freq would end up being 0.00 and sometimes would crash. Any idea???

Did you check the Radio FAQ ? you need to set specific options for radiator to work in RR. You may also try this over your current install:

Guino you rock! That new .exe fixed my problem The radio is working just fine now, however, I noticed a new problem. When going from TV to Radio I get a error msg. (attached below). I can go from Radio to TV just fine but not the other way around. It looks like Winamp’s TV function somehow has a lock on the hardware when in the TV mode and doesn’t let go when you close the TV. I can see that the red light on the WinTV unit is constantly on even if I’m not using the TV. When I exit RR then after about 15 secs then the red light goes off or when I switch from radio to mp3 then the light would go off after awhile. I have to exit RR and reopen it to listen to the radio. Thanks.

    Try this:
Go into the TV, then exit to the audio player. While RR is still running go into device manager and try to disable the WinTV driver. If it asks to restart, close just winamp and try again. As soon as it is disabled, try to re-enable it and re-run winamp (if you closed it), then try the radio again.. if that works, I can probably make you a Hauppauge Fix just as I did to the Cinergy Card (which had the opposite problem -- from radio to TV).

    Let me know,
    Guino.

    hi Guino

radiator try to seek/scan, keeps scanning forever - but reception is good I think when I set manualy I can find many stations with very good quality reception.

ahh.. i see what you are doing. disabling/enabling the driver in the device manager did the trick. but i have to stop/start winamp each time or it wouldn't work plus it would complain about wanting to restart. btw. RR rocks!!!

I'll Implement a fix for this like I did with the Cinergy TV.. I need you to do something for me:

    -Click Start->Run, enter CMD (OK)
-On the Prompt window, type in:
-CD\Program Files\RoadRunner (or wherever you installed it at)
    -Type in:
    devcon.exe find * > hw.txt
    -Close that window
-Send me that hw.txt file in the RoadRunner folder. (you can attach it here)

I'll try to list Know hardware in the Config for those reset settings... but if you do the above I hope to make it so you never have to do anything manually.

Do you need the Wintv to be plugged in for this. I'm at work so I don't have it. Here's the hw list without the wintv unit, let me know if you need it with the unit. thanks
