girder on RR

hi guino,

thanks for the girder gml file for RR, i am not well versed with girder and attaching that girder gml on RR really helps me and other users aswell, one question, how can i make a command, that shuts down the pc with one touch of my remote? what i want is when i press the button on my remote, girder will close all of the open RR apps like gps and audio before shutting down, not sure if it should be a multi process steps but i just want to make sure that everything closes before shut down so as to avoid any running programs from freezing or hanging.

another question is since i dont have a radio (radiator) on my pc, when i accidentally press the radio function, it hangs RR. is there a way for me to turn off the radion function so i dont click it accidentally?

one last question on the alpine skin, does it only works for 640 resolution? it doesnt cut it for me on a 800x600 resolution since it doesnt fill the whole screen, am i doing it wrong? thanks a bunch, RR rocks!!!

If you leave the radio setting on "D-Link" it should not crash even if you don't have a dlink card... another option is to simply comment out or change the button code on menu.skin from "RADIO" to "" for instance..

If you copy a button definition in girder and change the command to "shutdown" you should be able to shutdown the pc with a remote button, RR will close anything that it is controlling except embbeded applications from the Launch screen -- but windows should do that for you.. if by any chance it hangs on some application, then it would probably hang if RR tried to close them too...

The Alpine skin is availale in 800x600 and in 840x480 .. the one on my site is 840x480.. the Alpine skins are being adjusted by the author (More mods) to support the extra features of RR. I do know for a fact the old Mediacar Alpine skins are still available.

Is this any use... slightly more advanced as it checks to see which app is running first then uses that command set... edited from an old MC one.

The MediaCar skins are available for download.. I know he's working on the RR skins right now.. he'll probably post them when they're ready..
