    Multiple Launch Folders

    I there a way to setup separate skins/launch folders to separate different types of apps.

    Id like to have my emulators separated from my web apps.

    Is this possible?

    IF not, could this feature be added?

    you can make simple buttons with the RUN command to execute bat files that could basically rename the launch folder to different ones you may have.. additionally you could execute those commands automatically upon entering the "launch" button of each particular skin (to automate the process).. other than that (as another option), you'd have to make a plugin to detect the skin change and rename the folder automatically.

    Could the feature be added in the next release? Maybe reference a RR command to a peticular launch folder.

    This is all very simple to do with the current version of RR.. you can look at the skin commands.txt to get an idea of how RUN works.. then you can probably just copy/move the folders as necessary. I can help you with this if you still need help afterwards, but I'll probably not add a feature because it would require a lot of overhead (settings etc), while it is a feature that hardly anybody would use.. most people just want to access the same software from the launch screen.

    simplest way would be to do something like this:

    -Organize your launch folders like "launch1", "launch2" etc

    -Make a few .BAT files to rename the folders (change paths as required):

    L1ON.BAT:

    @move c:\rr\launch1 c:\rr\launch

    2nd file (L1OFF.BAT):

    @move c:\rr\launch c:\rr\launch1

    those will "move" the folders around as needed..

    now on the skin1, you should go into the "menu.skin" file and edit the line that says "launch" and change it to "RUNQ;<PATH>\L1ON.BAT||launch" .. then on the skin_browser.skin file you should change "select" to "RUNQ;<PATH>\L1OFF.BAT||select" ... you should do the same (but with different folder/file names like launch2 and L2 etc), for the other skins you wish to use.. that way, whenever you hit the applications button the skin will move the folder for that skin into place. whenever you use the "select" button of the skin browser (to switch skins) the folders will be moved back to where the new skin should be able to move the folder it uses into place..
