Road Runner Skin Issues

Hi,

I am having problems with Road Runner Skins, nearly everyone I try results in Roadrunner not displaying at all. It opens up in the task bar, and Winamp appears, but then all I can see is the desktop.

The only ones I have got working are an old Media Car apline blue 800x600, which works but has hardly any of the new functionality, and the new alpine amber 848x480, of which you can see part of, but not all, and some of the desktop.

I am configured to run 800x600.......what am I doing wrong...please help.\

try downloading a skin from the roadrunner website.
this one works.. http://rmc.pimpedwheels.com/BMV2.zip
make sure You look before you try.. I think your skin folder is empty
c:\pr...\RoadRunner\Skins\MySkin\.. this folder (MySkin) contains files and folders.

Hi,

This link has a bandwidth limit message. I have tried the one from this thread - Alpine and it only semi-worked with the 848 size.

I am still no further forward, any ideas...

the alpine skin is 848x480.. if you're set with a Desktop of 800x600 you MUST resize the skin. This is done by simply changing showwidth and showheight on the file general.ini that is on your skin's folder. It will look ugly because RR makes a fast resizing on the images. The alpine skin should be released at 800x600 sometime..

Thanks for the response. Just one query, isn't the Alpine (Amber-S) 800x600 on this thread Alpine already 800x600, because this one wouldn't work either....

@Mathew, I'm downloading now.. will check it out, but typically, all you have to do is edit the general.ini file in the SKIN's folder. The Skin's folder must be directly under your setup skins directory.

@ctwizard, I'll use UK_MP3CAR's space right now... but nothing prevents us from having a mirror of the files on your site... thanks in any case.
