No music returning from hibernation

Hi Guino/All,

I posted about this problem a long time ago, but now it is really ticking me off...

Symptom:
RR resumes music when booted up from cold start.
RR does not resumt music coming back from hibernation.
(Resume set to ALWAYS or Hibernate/Start makes no difference.)
When returning from hibernation, there is no music (as said above), HOWEVER, a movement of the mouse, or click, will reactivate the music from where it had stopped.

Solutions: (none of which have worked)
At first I thought it could be my bluetooth devices being re-recognized and windows "beeping" conflicting the windows sound with winamp. So I disabled all sounds from windows - no affect.
I re-installed my system, twice - no affect... this is why I'm a bit breaking my head... I really dont understand this at this point...

any ideas?

Hmmm, never had an issue here with the music resuming from hibernation.

Is your system nLited or anything???

This particular one is, but the previous one wasnt...

Oh, this is Winamp 2.95 by the way... previous was 5.8 and 2.8... This has happened with all RR releases

That's is definetely puzzling.. RR will tell Winamp to resume playing immediately after resuming (as soon as windows notifies the event). I am guessing that some hardware/driver is keeping windows from sending those notifications until you move the mouse. I am not suggesting you do this for good, but just to try it out, I'd disable the mouse and/or any other supicious/cheap device to see if you can find out what's doing it.

Hi,

I am having exactly the same problem, if I re-boot the music resumes whereas it doesn't from hibernation.

I have a bluetooth dongle, gps mouse, usb soundcard, and the touchscreen plugged into the USB ports. It worked fine with mediacar

Any resolution on this.

I think I've also been seeing that since the 5/28 version. But not consistently.

I've been using standby the last few days, and it comes out of standby for about 5 seconds plays as it should, but then it stops.. the only was to get it playing again it seems it to click on the track itself, nothing happens if I just click on play.. only the last few days so not looked into it at all as yet, been far to busy

CDR, try clicking on play 2 or 3 times... I observed that winamp thinks it is playing (although RR status doesnt reflect that, I think it says STOP) so press play 1 time goes to pause, press again, goes to play...

I finally re-installed my carputer, with a full XP (no nlite) and observe the SAME problem still... I'm lost for ideas... I'm going to try uninstalling the BT and re-installing, but it is a pain really... I think it is one more disadvantage of winamp really, I dont think it is directly relate to RR.

Oh well...
