Did you do the Flash Update ?
Has anyone come across this situation before?
Installed RR and it worked fine.
I then tried a few different skins, as you do![]()
I reverted back to the original brushed metal skin, as you can't improve on perfection but hit a speed problem.
When firing RR up it's fine until I try to go into the mp3 player skin.
It takes about one to five minutes (honest) to display the playlist. During that time it is not possible to get responses from any buttons, though the button does show the button down press action.
I have a similar issue if I try to go into the mp3 selection skin.
All oher skins, radio, GPS etc. work fine.
On the assumption that it would be either a RR or Winamp issue I have uninstalled / reinstalled both without any change to the situation.
Anyone able to spread any light on the issue?
I don't want to do a rebuild but it is getting closer by the minute![]()

could it possibly be a large amount of files in your mp3 list?, +5000 and they load the Id3 info when viewed?
I had the same problem with my setup... just changed a few variables in winamp and it worked fine.
sorry - forgot to mention, I've done the update and the registration solutions.Originally Posted by guino
I did have the 100% issue when I first installed but the CPU usage dropped after I did the update.
If I am not in the 'mp3' screens then RR behaves fine and the CPU usage is low, so i'm confident it is not the flash update issue.

I only have half a dozen albums installed at the moment but I'll certainly give it a try.Originally Posted by Pac3R

Honestly, the only times I have seen something taking that long to load is if/when you're trying to play files over the network and the connection is lost/intermitent.. in which case it would take awhile to try and load the file info.. I'd suggest a few things:
1-Open Winamp by itself and see if it happens then
2-Delete your playlist (Winamp.m3u) and try loading DIFFERENT files
3-Run a disk check (even if you use NTFS)..
4-Try Deleting your playlist and then run RR to see if it opens quickly.. if it does, then it is most likely a file(s) or hardware problem ...

update - I managed to get five minutes to have a look at this over the weekend.
Turns out I had a dodgy mp3![]()
I removed all the albums from the mp3 directory and fired up RR - all running sweet, including the mp3 player / picker screens.
Then added back the albums one at a time - still OK
Found that one album (did not even like it that much) that caused the problem.
I didn't drill down to the specific track but just deleted the whole album.
Thanks for the help guys.
