    Question Start Command to execute

    Hi Guino,
just a quick question. I have an Access skin in RR and put that line of code in the setup panel under Command to execute"LOAD;access.skin" without the quotes, but when I start RR it starts with the main menu skin and after 2 or 3 seconds it loads my access skin. Is there a way to surpress that main menu skin from comming up?
    Thanks

nope. but you can rename the files so the "access.skin" is the first one to come up. then you can load a main.skin using the LOAD command.. just be careful because the "MAIN" command will load the menu.skin regardless of what it is. If your skins don't use the main command (I.e. BM/BA) then it won't matter.

    Question

I tryed that Guino and it works but when I switch from day skin to night skin then the MAIN Menu with the access flash comes up and I have to put in the code again. Is there a command I can issue when I swith to Night skin so it does not load the main menu?

MGD, longshot here but couldnt you add ||LOAD;mymenu.skin to your day/night toggle?

then it would probably go to the menu.skin (access control) and then to the usual menu

Honestly, I don't even know what you're doing with this access control thing in there ?? did you make a plugin or something ? In Any case, you should probably have used the Base Plugin then have it run (instead of RR) and upon code entered it would run RR.

As RoyN said you can make the switch skin command load your menu. Another option you have is to make .BAT files to rename (swap) the Access.skin and menu.skin files when done with the code stuff and then rename it back when you need to use it again. You'd of course, run those .BAT files (hidden on the background) with the RUNW command as in Skin Commands.txt

    Hey Guino,

From my understanding he just did a simplified flash version of StevieG's access control thing...

It is frommy view a simple flash that locks out some functions by not allowing screens to be reached without entering a password.

MGD, have you included a LOCK button on your exit menu? I would add a volume control on the code screen, and a lock button, so you can let people use the car with the system locked... Like when valet-ing, just "LOCK" and no need to use a valet switch...

    Wink

    RoyN,
you right it is just a simple flash file where you have to input a number sequence to go to the main screen in road runner. I think the best way would be have a blank main menu skin with timer then you would not see a skin at start up. If I rename the access skin to main menu and load the other skins with the LOAD Command it works fine, but if I have the same structure on night skin, then by switching day/night it would show up again, leaving it out in the night skin I would not have an access skin at night start. I will figure it out someday, Thanks Guy's for the input.
