Lets wait for the other testers to make sure its all working before adding it to the next release.

The only file I changed is frmSkin. I added a timer to the form and a variable and event handler for the logic. Search for "tejesh83" to see my code changes.

Please look it over to make sure its sane. This is my first use of VB.

By the way, since this new timer logic replaces the windows hibernate event listener in modCom, we may not need remove the call to "resumeFromHibernate" in modCom. It could cause a thread race condition in some scenarios, where resumeFromHibernate executes twice (once from my timer and simultanously from the APMRESUMESUSPEND event listener in modCom) causing havoc. If VB prevents concurrent threads from entering the same function, than this is a non-issue, but it would still be cleaner to have only one call to the resume function.

The fix worked for me 3 times and stuff went back to no music on return from hibernation.
I'll have to wipe it all out and try again later on today.

    New progress:

Its works if i use the tejesh83 Roadrunner.exe and put i my ExecTL.ini:
    "ONSUSPEND","CLOSEWINAMP"
    "ONRESUME","STARTWINAMP"

Now when resume the music start, but again i need touch the screen one time activate the normal work of RR. When i touch the screen i can see the winamp start, and the current song restart to the beginning.

If i hibernate and i don't touch the screen at least one time, music don't work more and i need restart my computer for get music back.

    Hard&Soft solution for hibernate problems

    Hi, friends:

First of all, its very hard to me speak in English, so be patiente with my explanation.

I had problems with hibernation, not only with RR. I had problems with various programs coded in VB. But there are programs like SpeedFan that intercept windows messages correctly. So I think the problem is in the VB libraries, for example, but not in RR Code.

I foud a solution that runs every time with all programs.

It is based in the DTR activation service (here in the forum explayed). I use a little Autohotkey script to intercept the windows, hibernate/resume messeges, and enables/disables the DTR signal. This singal is used by a little homemade hardware that controls two relays. One of the relays powers the screen (to power it on after windows is loaded and power it off before hibernate procedures), and other generates a pulsation send to a ps2 keyboard. And now we got the pulsation that enables all our system.

You will think is very complicated for a simple bug, but it was designed first for control the screen, and i put the hibernate bug killer like an upgrade on it.

Now i'm trying to control the circuit using the ScorllLock led of the keyboard to liberate the COM port for another uses.

I hope it was understandable, and useful. More detailed information, diagrams, etc (in spanish): http://www.solocarputer.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=7731

    Bye.

Sorry for delay, I've been out of town.

For those having issues with the latest workaround, you can try the first patch I posted:
RR Doesn't Resume Music after Hibernate

ONRESUME/ONSUSPEND events won't work, so plugins like phoco may not work. Mappoint and voice were also disabled in that build.

I'll take a look at the 2nd patch when I get a chance. I think I know what the issue is, but I haven't had time to mess around with it. If anyone has some VB skills and wants to take a stab, PM me and I can point you in the right direction.

This is going to be low priority for a little while, since classes start back up Monday. Also, it looks like my touchscreen controller and steering wheel controls shorted out yesterday, so my free time will be going towards repairing that first.

Just had a chance to do this is and what I have found is that all I needed was a fresh install of RR. I completely removed anything RR related with CCleaner. Got a fresh copy of the installer and it took couple of tries but it finally started to work every time when coming back from hibernation.

    Any update on this one?

Is this being integrated into latest version of RR?
I did install (or rather overwrite my previous version of RR with) the new version of RR 9-30-07 + HDRadio, but it does not autoresume. Still need to press a key/touchscreen.

    Thanks
    Ice
